We were looking for a condo for our fall vacation at Carolina Beach. It is a frequented location of ours, the family used to have a condo on the canal but since selling, we needed to find something suitable for a week at the beach.
Check in was seamless and the property was very clean. This location is on the 2nd floor if you don’t mind a couple flights of steps. Entering the property, there is a balcony with a partial ocean view, it’s nice because it’s an end unit, allowing more of a breeze to sit out and relax. There is a trunk on the porch with several beach items, like an umbrella and a couple of chairs.
The inside is nice and spacious with a full kitchen for making breakfast, but if you don’t feel like cooking there are numerous places within walking distance to get breakfast or lunch or even dinner. Not a far walk from the boardwalk either! My husband is a runner so he found the lake right out in front was his best bet for his daily 5k lol! Would definitely come back to this spot in the future.
Cons: the hot water had a strong sulfur smell to it at first, but either it dissipated or we just got used to it, either way it wasn’t terrible. We mentioned it to the property manager and they offered for maintenance to come in but we didn’t bother.
Also the bedroom was night and quiet until the last two nights, either a new renter or the owner was back in town to the unit 3A (the unit above) and they are definitely up till 2am every night. Not just up watching tv or doing anything normal, they were moving furniture above us for hours. And had very heavy footsteps back and forth until they finally settled in. We thought nothing of it until they did it again the second night. Just moving furniture. So strange. So this place may not be the best for light sleepers, or baby’s. Lol
