Beautiful, deluxe studio apartment with every amenity. Full size refrigerator, stove with oven, dishwasher, pots and pans, microwave, dishes, glass ware, untensils, toaster and coffee maker. Registered historical tudor landmark built by Carl Fisher in the 1920s. Magnificent lobby with 2 fireplaces, restaurant, cable TV with HBO, DVD, wireless internet. Beach chairs and umbrella, tennis racquets, golf clubs and balls exercise room, tennis. Spa services available. Minutes to fabulous beaches. Visit East Hampton, Bridge Hampton and Amagansett. Horse back riding near by and interesting historical sights. Once there, you are minutes from secluded or lifeguard protected beaches, world-class fishing, surf fishing, golf, horseback riding, hiking, biking, boating, jet-ski and motor scooter rentals, wind surfing, ferry to Block Island, whale watching, surfing. Local surf shops offer rentals and lessons. Countless restaurants serve varied cuisines including 'fresh catch of the day'. Lobster at Goshman’s fish market cooked and cracked. The indoor pool is now open!Guests need to be 25 years old.

The host did what he was supposed to do. He gave me a reservation number to check in. When I made the reservation I thought I was dealing with Montauk Manor, not Expedia. No mention about not being able to use the hotel free shuttle until I got there. We had a car this time. When I stayed by myself and took the train, the fare for a 5 minute cab ride from the train was 25 dollars. Not sure why the hotel would keep ther employees from making money from the tips they would earn by a couple of shuttle rides? Was told by the owner to throw the garbage out. Where? There was no apparent place to throw the little garbage we had. No maid service was another non perk. The room was nice and we utilized both the heated indoor and outdoor pools. The indoor pool didn’t open until 3pm. Why? Because of the lack of amenities we ate out. The hotel had restaurants that were expensive. Great place, but if you’re taking the train book directly with Montauk Manor. There was a vibe that we were interlopers, and we were not warmly received at check in. Susan at the pool was delightful. Always a smile and friendly. She was quite an artist also!

Beautiful grounds, room was neat and clean. We found the tabletop ironing board but were unable to find an iron. Towels were at a premium. You might want to pack an extra. Overall, it was nice
