In the peaceful Tuscan hills of Nocchi, 3 kms from Camaiore and close to Lucca, “Casale il Melograno” forms part of a large property surrounded by olive groves, orchards, vineyards and mature Oak trees. It has private parking and all is easily accessible.
Casale il Melograno is an old country house oozing of magical ancient atmosphere and history. The front garden with a shady maple tree acts as a relaxing day and evening area. A sculptured OFYR barbecue can be seen from the house. From the porch, comprising of a sitting area and wood-burning oven you can reach the living room with fireplace and 2 sofas. A large arch connects the living room to the kitchen/dining room. From here you can access a cloakroom and utility room in the canteen. A second arch connects the living room to the stairs taking you to the second level where a library with Italian and English books and a fireplace can be found together with sofas, TV/Sky, 5 double bedrooms with bathroom.
You can peacefully relax by the swimming-pool surrounded by olive groves. This area grants great privacy and all comforts such as changing facilities, shower and toilet, a shady vine pergola with table and chairs, cooking area, marble sink and work area. Beach chairs and a four-poster teak bed will help you relax in this peaceful atmosphere. When the season allows, you can pick different fruits from the many fruit trees and prepare tasty jams to enjoy. Biking and hiking trips can be taken via pathways to the various hills and the Via Francigena. Organised mountain and sea tours can also be arranged.

Nocchi is an old village on the Via Francigena, near Lucca. It was considered the holiday location for the Lucchese Aristrocracy. It is 3 kms away from the lively historical centre of Camaiore where many country fairs and theatre events take place during the year. There are many restaurants, bars, supermarkets and pharmacies. Daily excursions on foot or bicycle can be organised in the mountains and by the sea. Places within easy reach are Forte dei Marmi (15 kms away) offering great walks along the sea shore and shopping trips in the village. Pietrasanta (12 kms away), cultural and art centre with many sculptors visiting from all over the world. Lucca (25 kms away) beautiful medieval city surrounded by its ancient walls. Pisa (20 kms away) with its famous leaning Tower and well known “Piazza dei Miracoli”, theatres and concerts. Continuing towards the Tuscan countryside you can reach the region of Garfagnana, the cities of Barga, Florence, the Chianti region, Siena, San Gimignano and towards Liguria the world renown 5 Terre and Portofino. All these places are within easy reach.

We had a most amazing stay in the villa. Anna Maria was a wonderful host. She met us and explained everything to us.The beds and linens were high quality hotel like. She thinks of every detail to make the stay pleasant. You can see the pride Anna Maria takes with her home and her guests. She also recommended a private chef, Antonella The chef cooked us a wonder true Tuscan dinner. We would highly recommend Versilia Camaiore. *****

It was beautiful, everything that was stated in the website plus other guests reviews are spot on. They ratings should be more than a 10 they should be a 15. Ann Marie was fantastic host. She met us went over the entire house to show how appliances, lighting security and asking for recommendations for meals or visits. She was on call all the time . The pool was great everyone enjoyed. The bedrooms were spacious and the views were exquisite. I would so recommend this brilliant Villa. If we come pack to Tuscany area we will definitely rebook.

Wonderful house for 10 of us (6 adults, 4 kids). Children enjoyed playing in the garden. Swimming pool was beautiful - perfect for everyone!
Anna Maria is a great host and resolved some small problems we had immediately.

The house is beautiful and well appointed. The beds are comfortable and the AC works well. The gardens are amazing with lovely flowers and fruit trees. The Pizza oven was great fun to use! It is a little walk down the hill to the pool but my 86 year old mum could make it. Once there the pool area is excellent, very spacious. The Table Tennis was a nice suprise! Many thanks Anna!
