About this cottage rental
SHORE RELAXING!
This property is located in the 4X4 area of Corolla N.C. You MUST HAVE A TRUE 4X4 VEHICLE! To access the property (6.75 miles from the paved road). via beach, "the Beach is the ROAD" sugary sand, ground clearance could be an issue. 7.5”+ of ground clearance is recommended.
Air down tires to 18-20psi.
Ocean views, farm style cottage
Only a short walk (1500ft) to the beach from this 4th row beach cottage. Enjoy the 4x4 family friendly beach. Located near the Corolla wild horses, great surf fishing, with magnificent sun rises and sun sets. A short drive to shopping, dinning, the Corolla historic village and light house. Public boat launch located at Carova park.
Enjoy the ocean breeze on the large covered deck of this cottage with a screened in room for a private setting. Two king master suites. Full size bunk beds in hall loft. Bunks made up upon request. 2.5 bath with an outdoor shower to rinse sand and salt from the ocean. Spacious kitchen with dining room table.
Bath towels, sheet and bed spreads. cleaned between guests.
Disinfected between renters.
Includes washer and dryer usage.
Charcoal grill provided. Please bring your own charcoal.
Dogs are the only pets permitted, pet fee applies.
NO FIRES in fireplace.
NO FIRES in yard.
Minimum age of 25 for primary renter.
Recycle in blue trash cans, bottles and cans only.
All trash must be bagged. Trash bags are provided.
We highly encourage the purchase of rental/vacation insurance due to storms and the beach only access.

Beach Parking - Currituck County requires beach parking permits between Friday before Memorial Day thru Labor Day

This VRBO stay is a must! The house is amazing. It was clean and offered all the comforts of home - the hosts did not miss a detail. The house is exactly as described in the listing, if not better. Excellent communication with hosts as well. We also appreciated the extra details that made our 4-legged family member feel just as welcome.This was our first time experiencing the 4x4 beach with wild horses, and it did not disappoint. You will see the horse roaming freely throughout the area and on the beach. We watched 4 to 5 horses graze peacefully almost every morning from the back deck. We really enjoyed driving out to the beach and setting up for the day. With the house within walking distance, we could walk back and forth as needed. It rained on two afternoons, but with the amazing, expansive deck and screened porches, we were able to enjoy the outside and feel the cool ocean breeze. AMAZING. We ventured into town on one of the days, which offers cute shops and good restaurants. History buffs will love the museums Corolla has to offer. We even climbed to the top of the lighthouse, which offered breathtaking views of the entire area. As the hosts state, you must have a 4-wheel drive vehicle to navigate the sand. This was not a problem for us, but we did see several vehicles being towed out of the sand. The road literally ends, dumping you right onto the beach. It was so much fun. We'd definitely book this house again!

We've stayed at Jim and Sue's beautiful house on Carova beach now for four times.It's a beautiful house and always meticulously cared for.We very much like it.

Everything was as advertised and expected. Beautiful property in a wonderful location. Bed was very comfortable. Must have 4x4 to access property.
