Enjoy the enchanting Firefly Cottage at Mistletoe Hill. -- our winter months welcome yet another breathtaking season here in the Blue Ridge Mountains! Nearby waterfalls are tumbling, creeks are rushing, the weather is mild, and Main Street is bustling. Biltmore Estate and the Grove Park Inn are full of seasonsl beauty -- all it needs is YOU here to enjoy it!
It's a PERFECT TIME to come and enjoy this beautiful season and stay at a remarkable cottage.
Majestic tree-lined drive leads to charming storybook cottage in the midst of privately owned "Mistletoe Hill" property just a short drive to downtown Hendersonville, the Biltmore Estate, Pisgah Forest, the Green River (whitewater and tubing), the Tryon International Equestrian Center, Flat Rock Playhouse/NC State Theater, hiking trails, the three county "land of 1000 waterfalls" and the Smoky Mountains!
Ideal for a couple (or friends traveling together), in the former carriage house on a beautiful property setting adjacent to the owners updated historic 1930's home. Designed with all the amenities you could desire for a vacation getaway -- and a spacious, relaxed, mountain-style that the country-squire Lauren himself would approve! On truly beautiful property that was formerly part of the French Chanteloupe estate owned by Count Choseuil from France, via his appointment in Charleston. Your own private deck, a quietly gurgling water garden beside your cottage, a magnificent 350 year oak tree in your back yard -- with your own tree swing waiting for you! And yes, a great firepit. Beautifully decorated and appointed.
And Firefly Cottage is always completely sanitized from top to bottom between guests.
Located approximately 2 miles from the antique shops, galleries, fabulous restaurants and boutiques of delightful downtown Hendersonville -- and a short drive from the cottage to Dupont State Forest, Pisgah Forest and other outdoor attractions.
We love sharing our beautiful guest house and property with others. If you have any questions please feel free to ask us. If we don't know, perhaps Jax, our handsome Old English Sheepdog (think Nana in Peter Pan!) will know!

Wonderful host who greeted us as we came in. Cottage is close to town but far enough out to be quiet. Super clean and comfy. Grill out back cooks wonderfully as well.

Roger was so kind and welcoming! Always there if we needed anything at all. I wouldn't change a single thing about our trip. He gave us great recommendations for food that were all devine (yes, we tried them all). I hope to stay here again very soon!
