About this cabin rental
Welcome to Georgia Sunrise! Our totally private and spacious 4 bedroom 3 bath luxury cabin situated on 2.5 acres in the midst of the Blue Ridge mountains and Chattahoochee National Forest! The ideal property for scenic mountain views and family bonding time while enjoying a quiet, restful time away from the stresses of everyday life!
Our cabin is conveniently located between the mountain towns of Blue Ridge and Blairsville right on Hwy 76 and just minutes from local festivals and shopping opportunities in downtown Blue Ridge! The driveway up the mountain can be traversed by all types of vehicles-4 wheel drive not neeeded with plenty of level concrete parking area around the cabin too! (The beginning of driveway is coarse gravel and turns to concrete as you start ascending the mountain) When arriving at the front door of the cabin you’ll be in awe of the expansive, multi layered east facing mountain views with dead end privacy! For late arrivals there’s a dusk to dawn outdoor pole light near the cabin! Be sure to view the breathtaking sunrise our cabin is named for from the roof covered wrap around decks! Past guests have loved the complete wrap around porch with 4 double swings, 4 Adirondack wooden rockers, and a large picnic table that seats 10 near the 5 burner unlimited propane grill!
When you step inside the open-concept main floor with soaring ceilings, exposed rafter beams and red oak flooring you’ll be greeted by comfy leather reclining furniture beckoning you to curl up and enjoy the 65” smart TV with Dish Satellite and streaming channels. The massive floor to ceiling gas log fireplace will provide extra warmth on those cool mountain evenings! The spacious, fully stocked chef’s kitchen complete with black distressed cabinets, stainless steel appliances and granite countertops invites you to prepare delicious meals, which you can enjoy at the massive 12 foot dining table that seats 10 comfortably! The water supply for our cabin comes from a private deep water artesian well located down the mountain north of the cabin! It tastes better than any water you’ll ever find in a bottle!
Outdoor enthusiasts will delight in the cabin's proximity to the stunning Blue Ridge Lake, just a 10-minute drive away, and the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway, just 13 minutes from your doorstep. After a day of hiking, mountain biking or exploring nearby waterfalls retreat to the soothing roof covered 7 seat hot tub or gather around the fire pit for a relaxing evening under the stars making s’mores! Yes! We drain, sanitize and refill hot tub after each and every guest! With close proximity to the Chattahoochee National Forest many types of wildlife have been viewed here including black bears, herds of all sizes of deer, flocks of turkeys, owls, ground hogs, chipmunks, squirrels, rabbits, hares, red cardinals, hummingbirds, woodpeckers and many other types of birds!
Amenities abound, including a game room with a professional 1” slate pool table, whiskey barrel arcade with 400 video games and a child’s game room with 55” TV, PS3 console and PS3 game library. Our cabin also features a laundry room with washer and dryer and for the families with little ones a full sized baby crib, baby safety gate installed at the top of inside stairs, pack and play crib and high chair! We have safety rails on the wrap around decks, downstairs patio and concrete parking area so there’s no un-safe drop offs on the mountain around the cabin! If you're seeking a peaceful retreat or an adventure-filled getaway, our cabin offers the perfect blend of comfort and natural beauty.

Beautiful, clean cabin with excellent views and lots of space. We appreciated the well appointed kitchen with everything we needed to make our stay memorable. The host was timely and helpful when we had questions. Easy drive to shops and restaurants in Blue Ridge. Highly recommend.

This is a beautiful and well kept cabin with plenty of space and entertainment for our group of 8. The kitchen had every appliance you could want. The upstairs bedroom/bath were perfect for our elderly parents so they wouldn’t need to use the stairs and the lounge downstairs was a fun hangout for our kids. The beds were comfortable and there were extra heaters in case one room got cold. Laura answered any questions that I had in a reasonable amount of time. The hot tub was clean when we arrived however there were no chlorine tablets in the floater and by our third day it started smelling mossy and turning green. When I asked her about adding more chlorine she said that it was probably just the smell of the mountain water. We purchased pool supplies the next day and tested the ph and it showed no chlorine so we added some chlorine powder and it was fine a day later. There is an impressive amount of signage in the downstairs area not shown in the photos on the website. While I’m sure added for charm, many were quite political regarding guns and second amendment rights and one featured a Jim Crow era caricature that felt really inappropriate. To be honest, as much as I loved this cabin, I wouldn’t have made a reservation had I known they were there. Today I received notice that a damage claim was filed for two mattress protectors, a king sheet and a lamp that no one in my group knows anything about. Lovely cabin and property. Some minor tweaks could make it perfect.

3 star property with 5 star expectations. Refrigerator did not work. Owners response was to go to Walmart and buy a fridge that she would reimburse us for it. Not the response that I was expecting. She should have sent a technician out to look at appliance. She said that due to the holiday she didn’t think she could get anyone to come out and fix it. NOT going to buy any appliance on my vacation. That is your job as a homeowner/property manager. Also, on Fourth of July at 7:00am we all woke up to banging and loud noises in the cabin and unknown to us there were construction workers outside working on cabin without any notice to us. Totally unacceptable to not give vacationers advance notice. Refrigerator started to cool off after 2 and a half days. So our vacation wasn’t a total dud we had great Mountain View’s, but certainly wouldn’t recommend this particular cabin to anyone. Research and read reviews to know what you are getting into. 2nd time using VRBO and while I will not completely X them out, it will be quite some time before we use them again.
