I read a lot of reviews for this property before booking and noticed many travelers had stayed multiple times. I can see why! It was one of our favorite VRBOs! Great location within walking distance to shopping, restaurants, etc. Easy access to the beach and water. Well laid out floor plan with abundant and comfortable furnishings. Friendly and responsive communication with the property manager. Would definitely book this home again!

This property was absolutely gorgeous and the manager was the most gracious host I've encountered with a vacation rental. Mary walked us through and made sure we had everything we could possibly need. She was available the entire stay if we needed anything, which we didn't! The beach supplies and kitchen are totally stocked with everything. Overall, this was the best stay ever for a wonderful family vacation, and we would love to stay again someday!

It was a short drive to visit Sea World, & to go kayaking in the bay, & on a para sailing adventure. The kids ages 12 & 8 also took surfing lessons at Pacific Beach near the house. We definitely want to vacation here again!

This house was perfect for a family trip for 6. Ending every day sitting on the front porch watching the sun set on the ocean was so relaxing. Walking down a flight of stairs to the beach was the best amenity.We were able to get to all of the major San Diego tourist destinations(Midway, the Zoo, SeaWorld, Old Town, Torrey Pines, Coronado Island) in less than 30 minutes, plus walk to Pacific and Mission Beach boardwalks.There are plenty of stores, bars and restaurants in walking distance. Also, coffee and grocery store.

Wonderful view of the ocean and easy walking distance to the beautiful beaches and boardwalk; fenced yard offered the little ones great outside playtime while still remaining safe from traffic; kitchen was well appointed with additional small appliances (...only minor issue was the worn-out non-stick skillet which happened to be the pan we used daily); would definitely return to this property location in the future.

Our family had the most wonderful stay at this house and time in San Diego! The house location is perfect with wide open ocean view and beautiful ocean sounds. Our host, Mary Berry, met us at check-in with Kona coffee, a very helpful list of local eating establishments, and possible sights and things to do in San Diego. We even changed our departure flight from early morning to late in the day to spend more time at this fabulous house and in San Diego! We'll be back!

Great oceanfront. Sat on front patio and watched surfers all day. Excellent kitchen for access and large enough rooms to work and relax. Mary, the host was great to work with and even waited up until almost midnight with our late plane to make sure we got settled in. Great fun!

Our family of five had pleanty of room to spread out and relax. The views from the main living area are phenomenal. Sitting on the front porch in the morning drinking our coffee was a nice way to start the day. Watching the surfers was cool, we even got a glimpse of dolphins swimming by. The bikes provided got a lot of use from us. We rode up to LaJolla for a day. What a great experience. The house is located close to all the shops in Pacific Beach so you can walk anywhere you want to go. Thank you for letting us stay.

A stunning property with an equally stunning view. Even though we arrived later than planned, our host was there to welcome us, walk us through the house and answer all our questions. This was our second time staying at this home . We love it so much . Such a perfect location for our family vacation . We had our new 1 year old grandaughter with us this year and they had all the necessities needed for her ie: high chair , pack & play .. sand toys , stroller . We had a wonderful week here. From the check in process to the check out, everything was just what we’d hoped for, for our beach vacation. Special thx to Mary who was so much fun, and so helpful. We couldn’t have asked for better. This house is large and spacious with lots of windows and a perfect view of sunset every evening This may not be the best property for kids, there are a large number of breakables as part of the decor. A definite thumbs up.

This 3 bedroom property sits on a bluff overlooking the ocean and you can lounge for hours on the front porch watching sunsets and surfers. The house was equipped with everything we could possible want for a beach vacation. The property manager is "on it" and quickly answered any question. The 3rd bedroom, however, has very small beds that only a small adult or children would be comfortable in.

PROS - PM (Mary) was enthusiastic and responsive. She gave us a thorough tour of the property, that was about 20 mins too long - Easy beach access, great views, walking distance to the boardwalk - The house was clean with plenty of blankets, pillows and hangers - The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, foil, cling wrap and aluminum trays for the grill - I asked for a knife sharpener and Mary delivered one the next day CONS - Broken beach chairs, broken umbrellas and skegs falling off the surfboards - A verbal alarm goes off every time a window or door is opened. With some guests coming back late and others going to bed early, this kept everyone up - Kitchen knives were dull, spices were badly expired, ceramic pans were horribly chipped, oven took 30+ minutes to preheat to 350 - There are INTERIOR WINDOWS in the bedroom (not pictured). They’re not see-through, but if someone turns on the hall light at night, you have light in the bedroom - The other king bed has “two body holes with a mountain in the middle” - There are an unusual amount of switches throughout the house, only some appear to do anything. Labels would help! I would rather see less decor with more intention. The furniture and the artwork is outdated, impractical and rather ugly. Small changes, like nightstand lamps with USB ports or outlets would go a long way in making this rental with so much potential truly feel worth the price you pay

House was very nice, clean, and well equipped. Location was perfect with easy access to the beach, great views - we enjoyed watching the surfers and the sunsets were amazing. Mary gave a great tour to familiarize us with the property and all its amenities and her knowledge of the area was very helpful. Location is convenient to La Jolla, downtown San Diego, the Zoo, and Cabrillo National Monument. We enjoyed each and every day at this special location. We would not hesitate to recommend to other.

From the moment we arrived and met the manager for the property we had the best experience. Mary was absolutely wonderful and showing us the home all of the amenities and then visiting with us to find out some of our likes and dislikes so she could help us know about what is available in the area. The home was beautiful and every amenity that we could think of was available to us. Rather than going out to eat for all of our meals, we stayed in and cooked the kitchen overlooked the ocean, and it was a pleasure to prepare our meals. The property location was convenient to our San Diego visit. We will rent this property again if possible, Wednesday it was perfect.

This is a great beach house for friends and family! We had 5 adult family members and we enjoyed all the comforts of home with being right on the ocean. It was fun to be just steps from the beach to take walks to the shops and restaurants in PB or just stay and play. The unit had a lot of space and good separation of space so people could be in different rooms and not on top of each other. This was helpful because we had a few people that needed to work and run undisturbed video conference meetings while there. They were able to do that in the office area or tv room area while the rest of us were in the main living room. The kitchen was well equipped with plenty of room for multiple chefs. We loved the outdoor patio area and had a few BBQ meals. It was also nice because everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom. The only challenge was the shower head in the hallway bathroom hit my 6' son in the chest. I think a plumber could easily install an adjustable shower head that could work for adults and children as needed. I would definitely recommend this unit for a friends and/or family stay.

The rental started with being warmly greeted by Mary the property. She could not be more accommodating. The house was very clean and comfortable. It was the perfect spot and convenient to great pubs and restaurants all within walking distance. Away from the noise of the boardwalk we found this to be the perfect spot. All I can say is, “Wow!”. You can’t beat the amazing ocean views from this place and literally steps from the beach. We even got to see dolphins! The location was perfect to watch the sunsets, take a stroll on the beach or walk to one of the great nearby restaurants. The house was equally as great . It was very roomy, comfortable, had everything you could possibly need and Mary, the property manager, was very attentive and ready to assist in anyway possible. The beds had new mattresses and were so comfortable. The garage was well stocked with beach gear too! Couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend our son’s birthday weekend!
