The house El JERMOSO has 3 bedrooms (2 with double beds). It is fully equipped:
- THE JELLY:
- 3 rooms. (1 with double bed and the other 2 with single beds)
- Living room with fireplace equipped with TV and very cozy
- Kitchen with all types of utensils: washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, ceramic hob and extractor hood
- 2 complete bathrooms
- Runner
- Large garden with barbecue and 2 typical horreos of the area and stunning views.
The JERMOSO is located in Cordiñanes, in the Valdeón Valley, north of the province of León. Located in the heart of the Picos de Europa National Park, the feet of the Jermoso Col, 2 km away from the town of Posada de Valdeón, capital of the valley.
In 2007, Fidela and Juanito wanted to restore this typical farm house. After 2 years of hard work and dedication the house is ready to meet the demand of people who want to enjoy the tranquility and landscapes of the area.
This house is a good example of the traditional architecture of the place. Completely renovated, thanks to its restoration, careful decoration, services and its idyllic location, make it an excellent house to spend a weekend or holidays, in contact with nature.
The house has 3 bedrooms (1 with double bed) all with heating, plus a wooden corridor from where to contemplate the peaks of Europe.
Among the common areas it has a cozy living room with fireplace, (reading corner and TV). Adjacent to the house guests can enjoy 2 beautiful horreos and a corral where you can enjoy the sunset in a picturesque village.

Que Bella casa! Los duenos son muy amables. La casa es muy limpia y tiene todos que necesitamos. The location is right next to the trailhead for El Jermoso- a beautiful hike up into the mountains that we did. We would definitely come back to this beautiful and historic renovated farmhouse!

A lovely, roomy, beautifully furnished cottage in the most stunning mountains in Europe. The house is very large, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, siting room and kitchen with al fresco dining on the terrace and off-street parking in the garden. The kitchen is very well equipped - the nearest supermarket 3 km away.
The owners are very friendly and left us homemade cupcakes and biscuits. We had one small problem which they fixed straight away despite our appalling Spanish.
Although we were travelling in summer, the nights were cold (the village is at 860 m) but a log fire in the morning warmed us. The weather was very kind to us - 5 days of sunshine whilst we walked the Cares Gorge to Poncebos (and back), from Pta de Pandetrabe to Fuente De (return by taxi), the valley of Posada de Valdeón and the high valleys round Amieva and Soto de Sajambre.
