Location in a beautiful area with perfect scenic view. The accommodation was well equipped, maintained and super clean. Quiet neighbourhood. Great landscape to spend time in the mountains and close location to get to any mountain hiking areas. Plenty of parking spots and wide, easy parking area. Did really like the provided shower gel and the hairdryer was also a very good one. ☺️ 🙏 and super comfy bed!
It was a bit challenging to get there by car for the first try...fault of waze and googlemaps...
Insulation on the terrace door & window not too good. When it was windy, the room cooled down quite quickly because the wind was "blowing in", clearly could see the curtains move. If no wind, then it's fine. :)
The cat came in one night, left a "surprise package" in the hallway, got scared during the night and run out screaming. It was scary to listen to her screaming.

Nice spacious room, balcony was a nice extra
I was in room 14, I could hear a generator switching on and off most of the night, there was a tennis court who’s lights would come on late at night and light up my room, the tv randomly turned itself on at midnight

We liked the general use facilities like the pool and lounge and sports area. Plenty of parking.
We were on the top floor, and the ceiling was too low. We bumped our heads several times.

The Alquitara complex looks really stunning from the outside. Nice, old buildings and a garden loaded with al sorts of flowers. Handy -free- parking on site.
We had a studio apartment (3th floor-no lift) with a little balcony with stunning views all around. It is an excellent location for trips in the Picos de Europa and the lovely village of Potes.
As beautiful as the complex looks on the outside, so run down was our so called "superior" studio apartment. Just very run down, old and not very clean. In desperate need of an update I would say. Worst of all are the paper thin walls between the apartments. You can hear everything that´s going on next door. If the neighbours watch a movie until late at night, you will not be able to go to sleep.
Alquitara also provides accommodation for groups of bikers. That should not be a problem when they behave themselves, but if they party on the inner court until well into the night, now that IS a problem. No management on site it seems, to tell the party animals to stop.
