The cottage is simple, clean and has the all of the basic necessities. We enjoyed the location most. It was quiet but not too far from anywhere we wanted to go on the island. Our biggest issue was that we found all of the furniture rather uncomfortable. It was hard to just relax at the end of the day. The well water was also very hard. The host provided some drinking water which was very appreciated! Be careful using the washer with lighter colored clothes though - the well water stained our whites. The host responded quickly with a solution which removed most of the stains but it would have been helpful to know that up front since some people are not as familiar with well water.

Maine was a special place for my sister and her husband. She passed away after a brief battle with cancer in December and this trip was a way to remember and celebrate her. The house was in the perfect location to visit all her special places and we bought lobster everyday from Captain John. Because we were going to be having lobster regularly, the owners bought a large lobster pot for us to use and had it delivered the day of our arrival. It was a kind gesture that set the tone of our trip.

Nice area. Within 30 minutes of the farthest areas of Acadia. Food options close. Cool vibe in the fishing community. Well stocked kitchen. Only complaint was the bathroom floor and shower.
