Welcome to Beach Bear & Beach Cub - a bright, comfortable combo unit (main & guest house)for families, friends, and larger groups. Previously known as Life's a Peach & Made in the Shade, these homes are very popular with guests - many of whom request them year after year.
It's the perfect pair, shaded beneath the tallest trees in Beachwalk Resort. Gather your group of all ages and hang out on the wrap-around porch, watching the shooting fountain in Waterfall Park. A wooden walkway connects both houses, with a private shaded deck between them for lounging and watching the little ones. Both homes are great for those who need to avoid stairs, with main bedrooms on the first floors.

Later, chill-out in the cozy living room with its two plush sofas and enjoy the warmth of the gas fireplace and the high-definition smart TV. Rain or shine, day or night, the spacious screened-in, covered patio with its own TV lets you enjoy the outdoors—indoors, for cocktails with friends or relaxing with your favorite music and a good book.

Parking Passes ($5 each) and Wristbands ($15 each) are required for all guests ages 4 and up mid-May through September.

Parking for 3 regular sized cars at the home, please do NOT block neighbors parking or access. Parking for trailers and boats is prohibited. Overflow parking lot available for additional cars.

We gathered family members from 4 states for 4 night, 5 day vacation for our grandson’s 1st birthday and our son in law’s birthday. It was terrific. We thought just about everything was perfect. Kym in the office could not have been nicer or more helpful. Having a golf cart to use was fabulous. It allowed us to get to the Lake and pool with all our blankets, chairs and beach equipment. The only suggestion we have, is that we think wristbands should be included with the rental fee. It really was an ideal situation because everything was all right there. We parked our cars, and did not need to use them. The property was very clean. We had a few maintenance issues that were addressed immediately. We certainly would consider returning.

This rental was absolutely perfect for our family of 14 with 6 adults and 8 kids! The houses were clean and had everything we needed! The golf cart was a definite plus! Beachwalk Resort is a wonderful place to spend quality time with your family. The resort amenities, bike rentals, multiple fishing places, and location to the beach are perfect. We have already looked into booking for next summer.

This was our 4th time visiting Beach Walk—we love the beach, the pool, the golf cart, and the game room. It’s a great area for families, and we always enjoy our time there.This stay, however, had some challenges. Beach Bear and Beach Cub are two separate houses, which can work for a large group, but the layout made it difficult to gather and cook together. The kitchen in Beach Bear (the larger house) was extremely small—making even basic tasks like making coffee or toast surprisingly difficult.When we arrived, the AC wasn’t working. It took multiple calls, visits from different maintenance people, and hours of our trip to resolve. This really should have been caught before check-in. Other maintenance issues added up: the downstairs guest house tub drained slowly, the screened porch ceiling fan didn’t work, and the outdoor hose had no water to rinse off sand after the beach.We were also surprised that there were no toiletries in any of the bathrooms—not even a starter supply—and no beach towels provided, which made packing and planning harder for our group. Most of the outdoor chairs were dirty and uninviting, aside from the Adirondack chairs.We still had a good time overall because we love the community, but we hope the property management team addresses these issues. With a few key improvements and better attention to detail, this rental could be a much better experience—especially for larger families.
