About this house rental
The absolute coolest vacation destination is in the Beachwalk, and this home offers 3000 square feet of living space at a lower rate than Beachwalk homes with more bedrooms in a similar footprint. Completed in June 2020, East of the Sun sleeps up to 14 with 4 bedrooms and 3.5 baths. You can unwind after a day at the beach in the music-themed basement that features a pool table, karaoke stage, and wet bar amidst music memorabilia or entertain in the solar-themed main floor. Enjoy an evening by the fireplace inside or at the shared fire pit outside. Stocked with games, books, and movies, the entire family will be entertained in this new gem in Lake Michigan's premier vacation resort. For larger parties, you can rent along with the adjoining Troll's Den or Valhalla, which sleep up to 6 and 11 respectively. Earning rave reviews, come check out the coolest property at the Beachwalk!
From the Friday before Memorial Day through mid-August there is a 4-night minimum and all guests must purchase resort passes, which cost $15 per person. There is a $5 parking cost per car.
All cleaning fees are baked into the nightly rate.

We had a multigenerational family get together at East of the Sun. Overall it was a wonderful stay. Host(s) had prompt communication and the golf cart is a certain bonus! It was a tight fit for 13 (9 adults) as far as bedrooms BUT we knew it would be. Always look at pictures (they were accurate). They have several fans for use which came in handy. They do not have any air mattresses (so bring your own if needed). Showers worked well. I agree with other reviews the mattresses were very comfortable for most guests. Again though, this is not the Ritz Carlton and this property overall is priced well considering the space it does have. All of the children loved the basement with the microphones/karaoke stage. Shared firepit between three houses, but we had no issues with that. Overall great price for what is provided!

Anders was a fantastic host. Easy going and always accessible, checking from time to time (never awkwardly) to ask how things were going.The whole place was clean as a whistle.The accommodations were far beyond expectations. The website pictures don't do justice to how large and well-appointed the common rooms are. The half-bath here was very convenient.The bedrooms (four, with jack and jill bathroom between each pair) are simple but serviceable. One thing is the window curtains(?) are so sheer that the outdoor light (sunny or not) can be bothersome. If you are a light or late sleeper bringing eye shades would be a good idea.If you appreciate music on any level the basement will knock you out. The walls and ceiling are COVERED with artist artwork, album and 45 covers. The karaoke stage (and equipment) and pool table were not - as is the case with a lot of short-term rental properties - just junk thrown downstairs. Both got ample use from our crowd. A full bath downstairs was also a huge convenience.The resort and amenities were likewise first rate. Like the property basement itself, nothing was simply thrown in to attract prospective visitors. Everything was clean and fully functional. Resort staff were to a person friendly and helpful.It took us a short while to get used to the closeness between properties (really, really close) but there was never a problem with noise or rowdiness. We won't hesitate to reach out to Anders (and Joolz) again.

We absolutely loved your home. You thought of everything. My family an I were very comfortable and at no time did we feel no less than at home. We thank you again. Don’t be surprised if you see us booking around Thanksgiving!

See comments regarding Vahalla for same time period.
Good kitchen and sofa chair arrangements. Sleeping be flexible with adults and different family members. Great karaoke and golf carts fun and useful. Parking for more than 3 cars a squeeze. Get passes to park i. Iverflow lot. Go to Al's supermarket and cvs on us 12. Much closer than across town.
