Apartment 100 mt from the center, excellent view of Mont Blanc glaciers

Very nice apartment in the centre of Les Houches. Close to the shops, restaurants and bus stops. Very friendly hosts, giving us all necessary information and making our stay very comfortable. Thank you Carlo!

Lovely,well equipped, comfortable apartment with amazing views. 15 mins from chamonix but much more peaceful. Enjoyed waking up at 8am to the sound of the church bells, quick 2 min walk down to the boulangerie to get breakfast and then back again. Carrefour a similar distance but the super_u 5 mins drive down the road is cheaper with more choice. Eat the ribs at the Kitsch inn. Carlo was a wonderful host and was there to meet us as we arrived. Worth dropping him a message a week before to confirm a time to meet as the 4pm arrival on ' home and away' is probably a bit misleading. Sitting on my sofa at home now instead of sitting on the balcony contemplating the clouds on the mountains as the sun goes down. Bellisimo.

We are a couple with two kids that stayed in the appartment during two weeks in August.The appartment is in accordance with the description given, ideal for a stay in Camonix Valley, with a back terrace facing the Aguille de Midi and the Mont Blanc Massif. It is very conveniently located near the Tourist Office of Les Houches, at a very short distance from the free bus and the supermarket. The owner, Carlo, is always ready to solve any problem or to give advice about the places to visit in the valley. We would recommend this appartment to anyone visiting the Camonix Valley, since it is located in a very calm environment, at a few kilometers from Chamonix, which is easily accesible with the free shuttle, as is the rest of the valley. All together, it made for a wonderful holiday!

Spent a great week in the apartment during the UTMB race. Les Houches and the surrounding area much more peaceful than downtown Chamonix but with everything you need on your doorstep, supermarket, boulangerie, couple of bars and restaurants and a pizza takeaway none of which are any further than a 2 minute walk. The views of Aguille du Midi from the balcony are superb and best enjoyed with a glass or two. Apartment itself was well equipped, clean and quiet and far enough away from the main road. Transport into Chamonix is free and very regular on the bus so once there no real requirement to drive unless you choose to do so. Highly recommend staying here.

This apartment was perfect for our purpose, and could have easily accommodated two more adults or children (we were a couple on a work-cation). The apartment is well situated within easy walking distance of a weekly market in summer, grocery store year round, and several nice restaurants and bars. The tourism office in town offers next to nothing in services - just a map of trails local to Les Houches, or some souvenirs to buy (still worth dropping in for local event info). A bus station is equally as close, and for summer hiking you are about 15-20 minutes from the closest lift (Bellevue), and 30 from Prarion (MTB/VTT). The drive to Chamonix is simple, and should take you less than 10 minutes on average. The apartment itself offers views from the master bedroom, spare room and kitchen that all grant uninterrupted views of the mountains. The apartment is easy to air our and get a cross breeze going on warm days. The kitchen is adequate for most cooking you would plan to do on a vacation. There is no tea kettle that we saw, so we used the coffee pot to heat up water. There is a stove, microwave, oven, medium-small refrigerator, and a small freezer. The bathroom has a small shower, but plenty of space for two people to get around each other. The washing machine is located in the bathroom, and is adequate for one load a day due to the slow speed of eco-machines. Clothes need to be hung dried, and a wrack is provided for that too. If you rent through VRBO, some of the information from Carlo's other personal page doesn't transfer. He doesn't provide towels (we weren't aware of this), and he needs you to inform him if you need sheets for the beds (very European to expect people to travel with sheets and towels). A side note, he doesn't speak French (Italian or enough English to convey what needs to be conveyed). A parking space is provided for one vehicle in front of the apartment. You have to climb two sets of stared (one to the ground level from the parking area, and one to the second floor [first floor if your a European]). Last points: We did not have contact with Carlo prior to arrival, and thus followed the instructions from VRBO - to meet the owner at 1600. We arrived promptly at 1600 to find that he was packing out to leave as he had been messaging us all day. I suggest you contact him immediately to arrange the rendez-vous. We nearly missed him.

Our family enjoyed a very nice mid February week. The apartment is well located only steps away from the tourist office and the grocery store and only a short drive to the main ski lifts. Bus stop for the free shuttle is also close by. The unit is very clean and well stocked with everything a family needs for a week away. Very quiet and cozy with lovely mountain views both front and back. We can't wait to return.

We had a great stay over several weeks in this apartment. The apartment was spacious with comfy beds and was very well equipped.. The building was quiet and very well maintained. We found the private garage very useful. The location is very practical witness the bus stop close by, and a very short walk to the supermarket, bakery, bars and restaurants. We would definitely recommend the apartment and hope to be able to return. The owner was very efficient helpful and friendly.
