Cottage Just 2 Blocks to Beach and Town

Great pet-friendly stay. Our dog enjoyed the big backyard and relaxing on the porch. House is located just a couple of blocks from downtown Tawas with lots of shops and restaurants. A dog beach was just a 10 minute drive at the state park.

Very clean, very comfortable beds. Coffee station was a nice touch. Great neighborhood to walk your dog in.

This property is really nice - walkable to downtown East Tawas and the beach. The house was clean with all amenities with lots of comfortable living area to relax. The third bedroom is a converted attic and was very hot on our first day (to the point where we could not use it for sleeping). Also, the staircase is narrow and steep, so not a good fit for young children. The other two bedrooms, though, were comfortable, with one being large enough for a king bed and lots of space to spare.

Don't let the outside of this plain frame house mislead you. It's a house typical of the neighborhood but inside there are a lot of great upgrades and it's nicely appointed and very clean. We came to Tawas for a getaway in late March after cancelling a out of state trip. The living room, bedrooms and kitchen are extremely comfortable and there are new appliances and lighting. It's an easy two block walk from the downtown. The property is also pet-friendly and has a fenced-in yard. But pet owners - pick up after your dogs, will you? Otherwise the rest of us do it.Communication with the owner was very easy. I don't know what the summer is like or the beach access but for off-season it is a super quiet, peaceful getaway.
