What a wonderful getaway from DC! Only 90 minutes but a wonderful world away. The house has all the comfort of home, that is if you’re home is filled with wonderful art, comfortable yet beautiful furnishings and a view to die for. My first day, it was a bit chilly, but I could sit in the sun inside and read with the water at every view. The kitchen is fully stocked; it’s obvious the host has thought through all the needs their guests. All that said, when you step out the back door, it’s even better. I sat in the back and watched the ships go by and the birds in feeders as my family could enjoy the beach right beneath me. It’s just enough beach for sandcastles and sunning but small enough that it feels personal and welcoming. This is a private community That is very welcoming with chairs to sit on at the beach, a large fire pit. The water was gentle enough That little ones can play in it. And pretty easy to get the kayaks out too. And our host was wonderful. I really appreciated the recommendations on where to go and what to eat. A huge part of my trips to Southern Maryland is the food. The hosts were spot on with their recommendations on the website they shared. Again, it was really obvious that the host knew the area so well, and was eager to share their knowledge of the best places. Its not often you can find a a rental. That is so nice and his pet friendly. We are definitely coming back.

Our family had a wonderful time! There was plenty of space for our family of 4. The house had everything we needed including spots to just relax and watch the waves inside the house. In the evening when the temps got cooler it was nice to be on the deck and watch the sunset. The kids could not get enough of the easy beach access. We found plenty of shark teeth and fossils! Alicia was so kind and easy to work with. Would love to rent again!

This home has everything you need to enjoy a time away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Prior to check-in, Alicia called and gave lots of insight to the area around her home. It is evident that Alicia cares and love this home. Very easy check-in and check-out process as well. The bay view is incredible and the woods next to the house have relaxing trails to enjoy nature up close. The trails are very well maintained. The sunrise and sunsets are spectacular! My daughters, pup (an added bonus being able to bring our dog) and I enjoyed hours hiking and relaxing on property. It was a great way to unwind during a very short spring break. Thank you Alicia for sharing your home. We had a wonderful and relaxing mini vacation.

Everything you could need or think of was there. Even some toys for dogs and plenty of games for family night. Some firewood at the property and the allowace to use the fireplace inside and outside at the beach was an exceptional touch!
