About this apartment rental

This comfortable and refined studio is perfect for your holidays in Porto!
Upon arriving at the apartment from exploring the city, you will relax on the sunny terrace enjoying a Porto wine, against the background of the beautiful view of the “Duques” district with its tall trees.

The Estudio is located in an Art Nouveau style building of Porto. The building's restoration work is the result of our commitment to this family project.

On the entrance floor you will find a lounge where you can prepare your drink (we provide drinks to our guests), choose a book from the shelf in the hallway, listen to music, and breathe the atmosphere of the period, the typical atmosphere of a bourgeois house. of Porto from the turn of the 19th century to the 20th century
Via the elevator or stairs you go up to the apartment floor.

The apartment is very comfortable, bright and functional.
The openly eclectic decor is punctuated by pieces from different periods and origins.
All these pieces are authentic and have been recovered.
This is the only way to achieve true sustainability of the planet and respect for nature.
All the old wood and beams in the house that had to be replaced were reused to make some furniture, namely the beds and headboards.

Between some Art Deco furniture and the small table from the late 19th century you will find some Pop pieces from the 70s, such as the classic “Space Ball” radio from 1970, the Weltron Model 2001.

The lighting is designed for you to enjoy great comfort. You will find different lamps from our collection, from the Hungarian wall lamps, from a hotel in Budapest, to the Portuguese ceiling lamp from the 50s.

The "Duques" neighborhood is the ideal option for your stay, it is the coolest neighborhood, with soul and charisma in the center of Porto. The Faculty of Fine Arts of Porto is located there. Here you will find quality local shops, art galleries, excellent restaurants and vegan options if you wish.
It was considered the 4th coolest neighborhood in Europe in:
“10 of the coolest neighborhoods in Europe”. (February 8, 2020). "The Guardian"
Retrieved from: theguardian.com/travel/2020/feb/08/10-of-the-coolest-neighbourhoods-in-europe-paris-berlin-rome/
From these streets crowned with tall trees and beautiful facades from the turn of the 19th to the 20th century, you can reach the main points of interest in the center of Porto on foot.

Fresh fruit and port wine are offered for consumption upon arrival.

The host, Jorge, was very welcoming--friendly and generous with his time explaining the apartment and nearby restaurants and bars. It was the best equipped VRBO I've ever been in, with lots of condiments, coffee, fruit, even wine and pastries.

We spent five nights in the Art Nouveau rooftop duplex and enjoyed it and Porto immensely! The place was immaculate and extras were really appreciated - fresh fruit, port wine, candies and cookies. What's not to like about cookies! Manuela was a gracious host and walked us through sights to see, restaurants and the neighbourhood in detail. Comfy bed but watch not to bump your head on the sloped ceiling!

This place was perfection, and I rarely say that or give 5 stars. The host and his sister could teach classes on how to host. Perfectly clean, beautiful apartment, stocked with everything you would need including cookies and port. Fruit basket on arrival and cleaning while we were here. I would not go or stay anywhere else. Perfection.

Stayed for one week. Great location. Good local shops and easy walk into the main city areas. Generous hosts- fruit, port, and basics in the kitchen all provided. We enjoyed our stay but despite being short (5ft 2 inches and 5ft 8 inches tall) we did find the bedroom bijou/small. It is advertised very clearly as 'low headroom' Im afraid this would put us off re booking. There were larger apartments in the block owned and decorated similarly by the same host- would considere one of these larger spaces.
