Pros: Spacious home off the beaten path in Tuscany (about 15 minutes down windy roads from nearest supermarket). Beautiful views from the house. Close to San Gimignano and Volterra, which we explored while we were there. The owners met us and handed us keys and gifted us some homemade wine and olive oil. They also offered the use of herbs from their garden and outdoor grill, which was nice.
Cons: I was a little surprised they asked for a large deposit in cash when we got there. The three bedrooms were spacious but the beds were very uncomfortable. We were there in winter and were surprised by the cost of the gas bill (90 euros for three nights). We had to wait for them to come over and check us out so they could check how much gas we used before we left. Also, you don't have use of the whole house - there is a large room that is locked off for the owners, and the downstairs game room is an extra cost per night. All in all, make sure you read the whole listing for the extra fees and bring extra blankets in winter so you don't have to use much heat!

Nice house, located in the middle of main attractions - cities/villages (Volterra, San Gimignano, Siena, Firenze). View from the backyard to Tuscany landscape is great.

Tres jolie maison isolée au calme. Cadre magnifique ! Le propriétaire est très sympathique. Une bouteille de vin et d huile d olives nous ont été offert à l arrivée, ainsi que des tomates du jardin. La maison n est pas équipée de la clim. Des ventilateurs seraient bienvenus compte tenu de la chaleur étouffante au sein de la maison. Attention : énormément de moustiques
