About this apartment rental

The Sonnailles Dome - really at the foot of the Jardin des Neiges, car-free holidays at the foot of the slopes, of the ski lifts and of the skiing school. Return with to the apartment by sky guaranteed. All mod cons, ideal for families with children: 70 m² apartment. (41 m² and 1 accommodated balcony of 6.5 m² and 1 underground garage of 13 m² and 1 ski room of 4 m²). 1 living room furnished with typical Savoy decoration, a flat screen television (DTT) and its DVD player. 1 large terrace with a table from Savoy, (for your meals under the sun, during summer), 1 large mezzanine with panelling with its reading area, its bed of 140 and hosier, 1 bedroom (5.5 m²) with its wardrobe and its 2 trundle-beds, 1 sofa-bed of 140, 1 equipped kitchen (closets, dishwasher, oven, ceramic hob, refrigerator, raclette set, Magimix Nespresso coffee machine & simple coffee machine), 1 bathroom, 1 separate WC, telephone with a free Wifi access. All windows have wooden shutters for better sleep.

You can enjoy a beautiful terrace facing the mountain, at the Vanoise pass, not overlooked and really facing the Jardin des Neiges and the sledge slope for your grandsons.

In summer,

A typical Savoy table is at your disposal for sunny breakfasts as well as for meals. The terrace which opens on the living room is at your disposal for a complete rest under the sun so that you can completely 'recharge your batteries'.

The convenient side:

- An unlimited Wifi Internet access is provided for free (ask for the security code before leaving your house),
-Use the underground garage, mostly in winter.

Each French-window is equipped with shutters for a good sleep to rest after the joys of snow and the hikes in the mountain, during summer.

For your evenings, the DTT is available since last July.

Qu’elle est belle, la France! And our ten days in Pralognan have proved that all over again. Spectacular setting, splendid wildflowers and great walks. The Dome des Sonnailes was an excellent choice of accommodation. Well situated, a quiet place with great views and convenient for shopping. The apartment is very well equipped, with excellent WiFI connection, effective heating, and, rarest of all, truly comfortable beds! Our thanks to M. We stayed in Marcel's apartment for 3 weeks(19 Dec 2014 -17 Jan 2015), with a week in between spent at another apartment as Marcel's property was not available for the full 1 month duration we required. Other members of our family had stayed in Marcel's apartment the previous year, 2013. The apartment is typical for the building within which it is situated & is well presented and appointed/equipped. We liked that Marcel provided towels, which other apartments do not. Travelling from Australia - we did not want to have to hire towels. It would be nice if linen was also included for the price of the rental, although I know and understand in France it is typical for the renter to hire the linen. This year Marcel installed a washing machine which was wonderful & much appreciated as being there for a month with children, it would have been difficult and costly to visit the laundrette regularly. It is to Marcel's credit that he took this recommendation from his client's & installed this. The apartment is on the 2nd floor, which would perhaps be tiring for older people and also the 2nd bedroom is up some steep wooden stairs to a mezzanine. Not a problem for our family, but perhaps for older people or young children. The outlook to the mountains, village, main ski slope and kid's ski school slopes is beautiful. The apartment is easily situated for the village and amenities and generally we walked everywhere - ski slope, casino etc. The apartment has a garage space which we used and also a ski locker - which we did not use as we used the ski hire locker nearer the slope. Marcel is an excellent host. He answered many questions for us that did not relate to our stay in the property, but to do with our holiday plans e.g. info on ski hire/discount, ski passes. He also went the extra mile in assisting the 1 week's accommodation that he could not provide himself in his apartment & also arrangements to store our luggage when we had to make an emergency trip to the UK during our stay. He called regularly to ensure that we were happy with everything during our stay. He also corresponded many times with us before & after our stay. These are the sorts of actions that will bring guests back. We felt looked after. If I had any recommendations, they would be: include bed linen in your rental rate & have the linen on the beds for arrival a larger tv :) more comfortable couch for watching the larger tv ha ha! Thanks Marcel & we truly hope to see you next year.

The appartment is very cosy, and tastefully arranged, with all necessary comfort, and a great view to the mountains. It is situated perfectly for mountain hiking, on the edge of the village and near the cable car and the bus stop of the navettes. The balcony has sun in the morning, which is good for hot summers, but in the relatively bad summer of 2014 we would have welcomed an afternoon sun. The village is nice, with enough shops, a good tourist information and even a small cinema; only who ever got the idea that visitors want to hear stupid pop music in the streets all day? Anyway, I would certainly recommend the Dome des Sonnailles to anyone!
