About this apartment rental
Welcome to our "3-star" St Léon cottage which welcomes you throughout the year with a capacity of 2 people.
With a surface area of 35m2, in duplex, it is bright and ideally located in the heart of our charming little wine town of Eguisheim in Alsace.
Our apartment is composed of a living room with a flat screen TV and a DVD player, a kitchen equipped with (dishwasher, oven, microwave, freezer, filter coffee machine and a squeegee part).
Upstairs: A large bedroom with a double bed (140/200cm) and a single bed (90/200cm), a bathroom with shower and toilet adjoining the bedroom. Warm atmosphere and soft colors, apartment completely repainted in 2022. Non-smoking apartment.
It is located on a small pedestrian square, in the shadow of the castle St-Léon is quiet with a view of the storks.
Eguisheim, "voted the favorite village of the French" in 2013, is 5 km from Colmar.

A free private parking lot 🅿️ not far from our cottage is at your disposal.
Bakery and tea room just opposite for fresh bread every day, butcher's shop, delicatessen, grocery-tobacconist-newsagent as well as many restaurants (takeaway) are just a stone's throw from our rental. In Eguisheim, you will find many wine cellars, do not hesitate to do a tasting. Electric bike rental in the village as well as Segways for a ride in the vineyard.
Good to know, the historic center of Eguisheim is limited to cars but you will find parking at the foot of the cottage in the blue zone (20 minutes during the day) to easily deposit your luggage. The free parking lots are the Tuilerie parking lot, the millennium parking lot and in the rue de Colmar. The paid parking lots are the town hall parking lot (charging station) and the chestnut tree parking lot at the price of €4 per day. A parking space reserved for the disabled is not far from the cottage.
You will love the calm and peaceful atmosphere of our duplex with a view of the three dungeons of Eguisheim.
We provide free high chair, bathtub and cot on request.
Beds are ready for your arrival, towels are provided and end-of-stay cleaning is included in our rate. Strict and meticulous cleaning done by the owner 😊
Garage for bicycle or motorbike available free of charge on request. Non-smoking apartment, no pets thank you.

Eguisheim, one of the most beautiful villages in France, is a place where friendship, hospitality, joie de vivre, respect for one's roots and openness to others are cultivated. It is all this that makes this beautiful city original and its attachment to those who live there or visit it.
Its discovery is never complete since it changes over the 4 seasons, presenting a different aspect each time. Eguisheim, a magical village, wants to remain this town that we visit but also this land to which we return.

A fortified town since 1257, Eguisheim is proud of its picturesque concentric streets with richly flowered half-timbered houses (a city classified as 4 flowers - Grand Prix National, since 1989 and gold medal at the European Floral Agreement competition in 2006). Sixteen courtyards, fountains, the parish church houses a polychrome wooden sculpture known as the 'Opening Virgin'. This work from the 13th and 14th centuries is the only example of its type in Alsace.
The lower castle of Eguisheim, on the Place Saint-Léon, is backed by a characteristic octagonal enclosure of the 13th century, made of rusticated stones. More than 2 metres thick in places, this wall was surrounded by water ditches, which were dried up in 1835. The castle is only accessible as part of the guided tours offered by the tourist office.
Alsace is not a little proud! It has recently received a new distinction as gratifying as its landscapes are beautiful and its villages are in bloom. On France Télévisions channels, Eguisheim became the favorite village of the French in 2013.

Wonderful wala wala wala, very welcoming and nothing is not would you find In your own home, the hosts Tanya and yannik , what to say, the family away from family. Highly recommend ! The location the locals the history and the hosts, what more can you want ... the butcher the backer and shop keeper and candle stick make... need I say more

We've been staying for 2 weeks in Tania's apartment. The location is perfect. Hosts are present (they have a commercial activity at the basement) and are available to support you in case of any need. Furniture is ok for an holiday apartment and facilities are very convenient. The dish-washing machine is very helpful to enjoy the staying. A washing machine is missing, but there is simply no room where to have it; an inconvenient that may be easily overcame using a public laundry in Colmar (i.e. less than 5 min from the apt).
The apartment is exactely as described and is right in the center of Eguisheim. Do not worry about pedestrian area: local residents (and those having an apartment) may enter and access their apartment at any time! Parking lot is right in front of the entrace of the apartment.
I strongly reccommend any traveller to have a staying there if you are interested to visit the area around Colmar.

We spent a week in Eguisheim and loved it. While there are many places to visit, my wife and I agreed that this is the most enchanting. The apartment is small but well-equipped, quiet, and right in the center of the village. Just pop across the place in the morning for a fresh baguette!
I would recommend this apartment. Know that there is a circular staircase up to the bedroom and bathroom, if you have any difficulty with stairs.

The house was a good base providing you don't mind climbing stairs, which were outside and inside the property. We found everything that we needed but the mattress on the bed was smaller than the metal base and my husband cut his leg twice. The owners were lovely and very helpful. Altogether we enjoyed ourselves very much.
