About this house rental
The Katy Trail Rest Stop is the perfect place to unwind and take in all that Sedalia has to offer! Your family will be close to the Katy Trail, State Fairgrounds, and Historic Downtown Sedalia when you stay at our spacious, centrally-located home.
The space
Our house is perfect for families, groups of friends, or business travelers alike. The eclectic aesthetic will make you feel right at home in Sedalia, providing you a stress free space to relax after a day of exploring or visiting family.

The home features three bedrooms. One with a king bed and adjoining bathroom. And two with a queen bed. The hallway bathroom has a bathtub/shower.
+ Unwinding
The décor & amenities reflect the quaint, welcoming feel of Sedalia. We have smart TVs that provide a plethora of apps guests may sign into. The kitchen is fully stocked with all cups, plates, cookware and bakeware that you would need to cook meals in. We also provide coffee, sugar, & creamer to warm you up anytime of the day.

-Explore the many events at the Missouri State Fairgrounds
-Eat, drink, & shop in the historic downtown district

There is room for 1-2 cars in the driveway and additional parking via the alley behind the house. Our home is equipped with a keypad door lock and your individual code will be sent to you the day prior to check in.
Other things to note
While we like fury friends, we do not allow them in our home. If this is an issue, we are happy to provide information on pet boarding as an alternative during your stay.

Work crew stayed here during an out of town project. They were very happy with the accomodations and commented how much nicer and spacious this stay was over a hotel room.The host was great to work with, I would definately book again for a work trip, or even for a family getaway to Sedalia.

I don’t want to be rude, but I do believe the home could have been a lot cleaner. There were clothes left there from previous guest. The porch had cobwebs by the door and was not very clean. The dishes had not been unloaded from the dishwasher. There was no way to clean off the counter as in no kitchen rag no paper towels or anything of that sort.. There was no abundance of towels for showers and overall I do believe it could have been cleaned better. I would like to also suggest a slightly better stocked spice, cupboard with at least salt and pepper and possibly garlic available
One of the reasons we choose to get Vrbo it gives us the ability to prepare without having to eat out every day and this is the first place that I’ve stayed at the that did not have simple spices or oils to cook with That would have been very handy again the lack of paper towels or things to use in the kitchen was Disappointing.
Also, all of the soap for the bathrooms was either low or nonexistent. I would think that after guest leave and the home is cleaned things would be a little more stocked and prepared for the next guests arriving..
Overall, the location was good for the event we were attending and we enjoy being able to have our own space without having to depend on hotels, but I honestly do not believe we will be staying there again as we do plan on attending the same event for years to come
