Sunlight pours through towering arched windows, highlighting antique wood floors, brick details, vintage furnishings, and expansive gathering spaces designed for lingering meals, late-night conversations, and laid-back afternoons together. - This home is a historic home and therefore the flooring may be uneven in some places, and there is a spiral stair inside.
- Third-floor catwalk has large openings in rails.
- The spiral staircase to the fourth floor has balusters of more than 4"
- This home allows pets for a fee. If undisclosed pets are brought into the home without AvantStay's approval there is a fine of $500 per pet.
- The Town of Athens is a residential community and any unreasonable noise or disturbances, disorderly conduct, or violations of the Town Code will not be tolerated and may result in citation, fines, and/or eviction from the rental unit.
- The pool is closed during the winter months and typically reopens around mid-May. For more specific information, please feel free to inquire.
- The pool cannot be heated.
- A pack-n-play and highchair are provided at this home.
- The fireplace is non-operational, and is not for guest use.
- Please note, Home is on a water well system and has a limited capacity. Excessive water running will cause an outage that will restore in about 30 min, be conscious when showering at the same time.
- Please note our occupancy includes an additional two beyond bed count. Trifold floor mattresses and additional linens can be provided upon request.
- Please note: The Pavilion is under construction and currently off-limits.

Very beautiful property! The guest rooms were all very comfortable and it felt like an inn due to the number of spacious rooms and bathrooms. The kitchen was well stocked with the appliances, equipment, and spices that you might need. Two very large fridges were present. There was plenty of serving plates and bowls as well. The property is beautiful, situated right on the river. There was a very nice hot tub with great views. The pool seemed nice as well but was not usable for our stay. The river bank is accessible from the property too which was a nice surprise! There were a couple of minor issues during the stay but the manager was available by text and came by to fix the issues very promptly. Overall very happy with my stay here and would definitely return!

House can use some TLC /updating … location is perfect ! Views is unmatched ! Summer time would be best to enjoy the pool ! Extra blankets /sheets are locked with a coded lock .My fam would return to enjoy a weekend here !

The property is extraordinary with stupendous views of the Hudson and expansive grounds for exploring. The house itself is large and comfortable with fun games and an amazing primary suite. Some areas could use refreshing, especially the kitchen. There are some disused structures from a former purpose of the property as a summer theater. The pool was not open for our early May visit but the hot tub (nice surprise!) was up and running. It was a great location for our family reunion. FYI the company uses a security firm to collect information about the renters—photo ID and video scan of face. This was a bit off putting to us but I guess will become increasingly common. We would return—it’s a rare find to access a large house with river views that is just minutes from cultural venues and easily accessed by Amtrak from Hudson, NY.
