About this house rental
This unique historic home was originally a dependency to the grand Coor-Bishop House located a half block away, where President James Monroe stayed in 1819 while touring the South.
The home contains two large bedrooms with vaulted ceilings and new King beds with new mattresses. One King bed can be converted to two Twin XLs upon request. The house
is newly updated with fresh paint, new furniture, luxury linens and amenities and a new gas range in the well-appointed kitchen.
Walk to the riverfront, Tryon Palace and historic downtown and its many restaurants, bars, shops, and galleries. Relax on the screen porch. Cruise or kayak the Neuse and Trent Rivers. Take a short 45-minute drive to Beaufort, Oriental, and the beautiful Crystal Coast beaches.
Sorry, but no children under 8 years of age. Infants are welcome but we do not provide cribs or playards.

If you want a charming, beautiful, and convenient place to stay in downtown New Bern, then this is your place! The owners have thought of every creature-comfort we may need and have provided plenty of towels, pillows, toiletries, bottled water, and even some coffee creamer! I especially loved the furnishings that reflected the age of this beautiful home and the screened porch with its breeze. We will be back!

Convenient location, within walking distance of downtown and the many shops and restaurants, but also easy to get out of town to visit nearby towns like Oriental and Beaufort. The house is historic and charming, the hosts are great, and take the extra steps to make sure our visit was comfortable. Highly recommend the Coors-Bishop Dependency for a visit to New Bern.

Great historic property. Very clean and accurate property description. Close to downtown...can walk most places. Enjoyed our stay and would stay again.
