About this house rental
Spend a nice holiday in the house on the sunny side in the hilly area. This wooden house is located in a quiet part of a protected area. In spring and summer listen to melodious birds singings, in the autumn watch the play of colours in mixed forests and in winter snowy hills. Place offers you a good level of comfort with five bedrooms, equipped kitchen, two toilets, and two bathrooms, one with bath tub and terrace outside. Parking place for four cars is common. On warm evenings you can sit around the outside fire, which is a very romantic experience... The house is perfect for two families with children and grandparents. Pets are allowed. We do not hide any costs out of the showed price, you see total price for your stay, except dog. For the dog you pay a small surcharge of 15 Euros.
Specials: Cervenice means „red earth“, it is typical feature there, because there was big volcanic activity in the past period and therefore had made the earth around the hill Kozakov deep red. Kozakov is world known place as habitat of precious stones, which were cuting and polishing in workshops in Turnov. Kozakov offer ideal conditions for paragliding
Tourism: In the Bohemian Paradise are most of marked trails for walking or biking, many castles, rocky cities an forests. Perfect place for tourist activity. There is big swimming pool 5 km far, Shop possibility is 2,5 km, supermarket 5 km, restaurant 3,5 km.

We had this cottage over the Christmas period 2013.
The location is beautiful, very quiet and with a nice view across in the direction of Hrubá Skála. There are many interesting places and dramatic landscapes to visit in the local area and the towns of Turnov and Železný Brod close by offer convenient access to shops for necessities.
The house itself is very spacious, well designed and is maintained in immaculate condition with high quality fittings and fixtures all of which were as described in the listing and all worked flawlessly. There is central heating (electric boiler) for the hot water and heating of the bedrooms and also a wood burner in the main lounge/kitchen which also heats radiators in the hallways and downstairs bathroom. With firewood provided and electricity included in the rental cost, you can be sure that you need never be cold, even in deep winter. The bedrooms are all a very generous size and with two bathrooms a large group can stay here in comfort.
Finally the owner is a genuinely nice man who speaks excellent English, is always helpful and available if needed but who respects the privacy of the residents.
A highly recommended cottage for a larger group of family or friends looking for peace and quiet in the Czech countryside.

We stayed for a week with our three kids and three dogs. The house and the area were gorgeous. My kids loved the fact that the house was big enough so that they could have their own space. We spent a lot of time hiking around Bohemian Paradise and spent one day in Prague (one hour away). Mr. Vanatko was very nice and gave us a map of the area. I would highly recommend this property to those that like the outdoors and quiet.
