We are 2 families with younger children- 9 people total. We had a wonderful vacation in this home. It was clean and very cool from the very hot summer days. The VIEWS are panoramic from the main floor. We enjoyed morning coffee in the crows nest sitting room- the kitchen is well stocked. The 2 dishwashers made clean up a snap. The rooms were spacious with sliding doors to balconies. The only thing that we thought would have made our stay better was a gas grill. It says that there is a grill but they are 2 small charcoal grills which made cooking for a large group difficult. Also, being on the sound kayaking and stand up paddle boarding is a must- but we had to rent them- having one would have been nice. We also rented golf carts to get around- we were able to use them to get back and forth to the beach. The town is definitely not golf cart friendly, but made getting to and from beach easy. The private dock was great for the kids. They enjoyed fishing and crabbing off of it. The Sound is very shallow and kids had a blast playing in the water. It looks like they once had a small beach but it is all over grown now. Two restaurants that we enjoyed where PO House and Pangea. They are in Avon which is a 20min drive South. That is also where a Food Lion grocery store is located. Over all- this house was wonderful and we enjoyed our time in OBX.

Our family of 15 had a wonderful vacation in this beautiful home. TV instructions could have been more clear regarding what cable system was being used and which tv's were HD. DVD player in movie theatre did not work or failed to have easy instructions.

The pics truly did the home justice, it has an amazing location , and the various views of the sound day or night are simply stunning. Nothing better than watching everyone do their water sports during the day, from kayaking to windsurfing and at night, pull up your deck chair and watch the sunset !
We hope we took enough photos to keep us until next summer when we hope to be back in those deck chairs again !

The rental agency failed to let us know that a house was being built next door so we got 7 am wake up calls every day in the form of hammers and men talking 50 feet from the window. T further irritate that situation they continually blocked the road coming into the rental causing us to be stressed out every time we left wondering if we would be able to get back in. The rental agency Surf or Sound refused to do anything or give us any type of discount or return for the total inconvenience.
