La Ratopenado - Villa Provençale - Swimming pool

The house is great with lots of character, it's a very old property, with lots of personal items from previous owners like paintings, ornements, piano etc.However, it wasn't aired properly prior to our arrival, it was very dusty, Our daughter, who is asthmatic, suffered a lot from the dust. The wardrobes upstairs were so dusty, they didn't get used.The 250 euros fee for the cleaning is excessive, We had to wash most of the kitchen ustensils before use, repaired few ustensils etc.Some of the outside furniture were broken and mouldy, lounges and cushions. New furniture were delivered on day before our departure, The BBQ area was so dusty, we had to clean it before using it,The automatic gate, which was broken during our stay, got repaired again one day before our departure.The swimming pool had one defective light and the cleaning robot didn't work properly so we didn't use the pool very much. Be prepared to service the pool by yourself. It was also very cold.The downstairs toilets was leaking and the upstairs shower head was unefficient as well as a non working light.The communication with Alan the agent was okay but some of the issues weren't dealt with during our stay.If you are looking for a unique place, this house is for you. The garden is beautiful, with a tiny sea view. The locatiom is good, not too far from Carqueirrane town centre and the market is quiet good!Would we go back? Probably not, unless all the issues we met are dealt with!
