It's a short walk to the beach from the pool deck! The access is beside the Beach House restaurant (formerly Elephant Walk). Luau amenities are fabulous! There's a 4000s.f. saltwater pool with swim under waterfall, kiddie pool, fitness center and grilling area. The snorkelers in your group will love the new artificial reef called Seahorse Reef, deployed in 2017. Located just 715 feet out from the Topsail Hill Preserve State Park access, it is becoming a haven for sea life. Each of the 4 snorkeling reefs comprises 40 acres of permitted sea bottom. The Seahorse Reef is at a depth of 13-18 feet. We strongly recommend that snorkelers use a kayak, paddleboard, or other flotation device when visiting the snorkel reefs. Sea conditions can and do change quickly and often. Enjoy!

We love staying at the Luau II. This is our second year in a row and will definitely be back. Realjoy vacations manages the property and were great with communication. The condo was clean and spacious with a balcony.

Had a great time loved the room, property and pool. Baytowne Village was fun as well. The reason for 4 stars versus 5 was the over crowding of the beach. For a private beach it is way too crowded. We went to the state park down the road to have space. This defeats the purpose of going to a private resort on the beach.

Just stayed for a long weekend. Beach access was a short walk from the unit. Plenty of parking in the multi-level garage and the unit was quiet all but one night when another unit upstairs was playing loud music.
