Excellent Water Sports - Paddle boarding, kayak, canoe & rowing boats
Somerford Lagoon can only be used for non-powered water sports between the 1st of April and the 30th of September
In order to minimise disturbance to overwintering wildfowl, the footpaths to the Southern and Eastern edge of Somerford Lagoon are not accessible from the 1st of October to the 31st of March
Spinney Lake is available for non-powered water sports all year.

We stayed with family at 43 Minety Lake over the Easter weekend and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. The booking process with Orion was seamless and professional throughout.
The house itself was spotless, beautifully presented, and fully equipped with everything needed for a perfect weekend away. It really felt like a home from home.
We were also visited by Mark from Orion during our stay, who was extremely helpful in explaining everything. Any questions we had were answered promptly, even over the busy holiday weekend, which was greatly appreciated.
We wouldn’t hesitate to return and will definitely be booking with Orion again in the future. I couldn’t recommend them more highly.

The property and surroundings were beautiful. The only things that were not luxurious were the details. The furnishings, sofa, dining table and chairs were not very comfortable and felt relatively cheap. The plates and cooking utensils also were generally poor quality. To be fair we complained about the frying pans which were unusable and these were replaced with much better ones very quickly. The furniture on the roof terrace generally looked tired, three of the four low tables had the glass tops missing. Booking tennis courts and a canoe was easy and worked well. The gym was clean and nice. We had a pizza which was easy to rorganise and very tasty as was the take-away tandoori which we had delivered from nearby South Cerney.Altogether we had a great mini-break here but felt it was lacking the attention to detail which would have made it outstanding.

Had a brilliant time with my family. Stayed over Christmas, enjoyed all the facilities of our accommodation including the hot tub. Loved the log fire and we had a lovely Christmas tree already set up which made it so homely. Will certainly go again

We had a great weekend at this property. The interior decor was lovely & the cleanliness was excellent. The kitchen had top of the range appliances & well stocked utensils & crockery etc.
The hot tub was an added bonus for our enjoyment.
We have stayed at Lower Mill several times now & would definitely stay at this property again.
Had a great meal at the nearby pub, The Bakers Inn.
All in all a fantastic weekend. Thanks.
