About this house rental
Located in the beautiful Upper Peninsula of Michigan. This is a newly built 3 bedroom house, situated on Strouble Lake. Located 26 miles west of the Mackinac Bridge off Hiawatha Trail. 5 miles from the beaches of Lake Michigan, surrounded by state land on a paved road with ample parking space. This rental offers year round activities and fun. Snowmobiling, motorcycling, skiing, fishing and hunting right out the front door. Come relax and enjoy the peace and tranquility of an inland lake, watch the beautiful sunsets from the covered 10x32 porch. Enjoy a fire in the outside fire pit. 3 spacious bedrooms, the bedroom located on the main floor is equipped with a queen size bed. One bedroom upstairs is equipped with a queen size bed and two twin beds, the other bedroom upstairs is equipped with queen size bed and one twin bed. 2 baths, one on each floor, one with shower and one with tub/shower. We also have WiFi. We are conveniently located between Mackinac Island, Tahquamenon Falls and Pictured Rocks. Great for Day Trips! Includes aluminum row boat and three kayaks to choose from. Very peaceful and relaxing setting with a great view of the the lake.

The house was wonderful! It was spacious, clean, and even had a laundry room! We enjoyed our stay. The only drawback was the mosquitoes! I had been looking forward to relaxing on the porch and taking in the exceptional view, but it was not possible. :(

It would have got a five out of five but there was no dock. It was damaged in a storm. I hope it fixed for all the future guests. Also, there was one small TV. It wouldn’t hurt to up grade to a bigger one. We had a great time otherwise.

Awesome place! The location was perfect to see all the sights the U.P. has to offer! The lake is quiet and very peaceful. Our kids really enjoyed the kayaks and row boat. The cabin was clean and very comfortable! Would definitely recommend!

This place may be perfect for others, but wasn’t a great fit for our family. Spacious and remote. The weather was humid and hot, and we didn’t realize there wasn’t air conditioning, so was very hot especially upstairs. And understanding now that several places in the UP don’t have air conditioning, this may be common locally, but not where we originate from. Also, lots of mosquitoes and mini flies, again can’t be prevented but for awareness. Also, we thought the kids would be able to swim, however the geese have taken over the yard by the water (uncontrollable as well) and the dock is out. Also, some items were in minor disrepair like the blinds in some rooms, some chairs, the toilet paper roll holder, outdoor game items; and bedding had some minor dirty spots. Again, this is perfect for those looking for a remote cabin with beautiful views, it just wasn’t the right fit for our family. The host was responsive with our questions. We weren’t able to find the instructed indoor key or checkout list and they responded very timely.
