Cabin in Chalet Village, TN
Reasons to book
About this cabin rental
Downstairs is the quiet zone: a real wood-burning fireplace, deep comfortable seating, and a reading nook that guests are obsessed with (bring a book, or grab one from the shelf). This is where the morning coffee happens, where the evening wind-down happens, where the adults disappear after the kids go to bed.
Upstairs is the fun zone: a 65" TV, a big sectional, a classic arcade machine, and a foosball table. This is where the teenagers live, where family movie night happens, and where someone will inevitably start a tournament that lasts the entire trip.
Both spaces feel like their own room — not a loft overlooking the living room, not a hallway with a couch. Two actual gathering spaces.
The bedrooms
Two king bedrooms upstairs
One twin bedroom upstairs (great for kids)
Two queen bedrooms downstairs
Most bedrooms have bedside lamps with USB charging ports — a small thing that guests notice every single time
The kitchen
Full-size appliances, plenty of cookware, and a breakfast bar that seats four (the kids' favorite spot). The dining table seats eight. You can comfortably cook real meals here — most guests do at least a few nights, especially breakfast before heading to the trails.
Outside
A private hot tub on the deck — room for five. Grill with a mountain backdrop. The deck view shifts with the seasons: wide-open mountain panoramas in fall and winter, a lush green canopy in summer. Both are beautiful in their own way.
The location
Grey Haven sits in Chalet Village, one of the most established cabin communities in Gatlinburg. What that means practically:
~3 minutes to downtown Gatlinburg (shops, restaurants, Ripley's Aquarium)
~5 minutes to the Sugarlands entrance of Great Smoky Mountains National Park
~5 minutes to Ober Mountain
~20 minutes to Dollywood and Pigeon Forge
Maintained roads with 24/7 security
Three community pools open seasonally (Memorial Day through Labor Day)
You're close to everything without being in the middle of the tourist strip. Quiet at night, convenient during the day.
Who this cabin is for
Grey Haven works best for families with kids, multi-generational trips, and friend groups of 6–10 who want enough space to spread out but still be together. The two-living-area layout is what makes it work — it's the difference between a cabin where everyone tolerates each other and one where everyone actually has a great time.
Also here: washer and dryer, parking for four vehicles, and seasonal access to three Chalet Village community pools. Check-in is self-service with a smart lock — no waiting around for keys. Questions before or during your stay? I'm a message away. A brief guest agreement is required — it covers the house rules, nothing unusual, just the basics to keep the cabin great for everyone.
