About this house rental
What a great right on-the-beach cottage with 3 bedrooms. You step down from the deck and you are on the dunes. This is cute duplex that when you step down from the deck, you are on the beach. And your pet will love being on vacation with you.
Imagine shrimp on the grill, kids on the beach, and a cold beverage in your hand as you sit on the deck above the dunes. The wide beach invites you to stay all day long.
Amazing Grace is BEACH FRONT. It is not a piano lot, or a view lot between two houses, or in a condominium complex. It is a real BEACH FRONT cottage duplex. Five steps down to the beach or simple sit on a deck just above the dunes.
Do you like to bike or run? There is a bike shoulder on the main road the entire way from the north to south. The island is 26 miles long, so you can get a good work out.
You can even bike for fun (like I do). Recently I rode my bike to the south end, and the smell of Jasmin and ocean air was unbelievable. I stopped on the far south point of the island and walked around the beach on the undeveloped point. I then rode back to Topsail Beach city hall and said hi to the ladies who worked there. (They had kindly sent me an invitation to pay real estate tax in their city even though my house is not in their city. I graciously declined :-) but they were very pleasant!) I then rode back to Surf City and promptly bought an ice cream cone at DQ just to make sure I hadn't burnt off too many calories, then leisurely rode back to the beach house.
Believe me, this place is fun.
And I haven't even told you about Shuckin' Shak, on the mainland side and it's fresh lightly fried grouper fingers, or about Sears Landing and its award winning clam chowder made with sherry, or Daddy Mac's - a 2nd floor restaurant overlooking the beach. Oh, and how about the fresh fish market (I mean right off the boat) behind the Crab Pot where you can get shrimp, flounder, shark or whatever they have been catching and take it back and grill it.
Or you can play 18 holes at Coastal Carolina's only four-star golf course, North Shore Golf and Ocean Club (as per Golf Digest). Perhaps you would like to deep sea or surf fish...or just lie on the beach. And did we mention riding jet skis on the nearby sound?

"We stayed in Amazing Grace for a week with our daughter's family - Our close friends stayed in the duplex beside us with their son's family (same owner) - So our children and grandchildren spent a week becoming closer friends. This is the 2nd time we have taken a family vacation at the beach and Amazing Grace was the perfect place to stay. It was nicer than the description online and the way it is laid out is wonderful for a family trip. We actually cooked a pig underneath the carport and invited friends and family down for the day on Wednesday. The view was awesome! I took many pictures of beautiful sun rises, sun sets, rainbows, dolphins swimming by and my grandchildren enjoying the beach! The house was in awesome shape and everything in it worked as it should. The owner was awesome - answered all our questions and made us feel like our trip and the enjoyment of it was a priority of his. I recommend Amazing Grace to anyone who enjoys a week at the beach and I hope to stay again every summer."

"We spent 4th of July at Amazing Grace and it was wonderful! The house was very comfortable. We stayed with 4 adults and 2 kids and had plenty of room! The kitchen is well stocked with appliances/utensils and it was great to have a washer/dryer for all of the sandy towels!! The owner is very responsive and easy to communicate with . . . hopefully this will become an annual vacation for our family!"

Amazing Grace is just that AMAZING AND GRACE!! We will definitely be coming back! The house is beautifully decorated and made us all feel at home!! It is honestly steps from the beach! Wonderful views and the absolute best sunrises ever! Shelling was great I found sea glass which was amazing and my husband found a message in a bottle!! We loved Amazing Grace

Had a good supply of cleaning products! Linens and towels included! Pet friendly! Good Suppy of kitchen items!

House was rated as exceptional which in my opinion is not accurate. Cleanliness was definitely questionable. Some examples: pet hair visible on stairs and on master bed skirt, the stairs had not been vacuumed as several wads of pet hair were removed, sliding door windows facing the beach were not cleaned and were completely covered over with salt and grime. We cleaned ourselves and they stayed pretty clear most of the week, not a chance they were touched before our arrival. Table tops were also pretty dusty. Shower curtain rings in both baths were rusty and the rust has stained the shower curtains. Overall the house needs some attention…walls are scarred, marked up, and just dirty. One of the sliding glass doors didn’t have a working lock and towel rods were loose and coming off the walls. While we did find them dead in the house we did notice some bug activity as well. Owner was attentive and communicative in assisting with an AC issue but sent a text to let us know a maintenance person was coming. We were on the beach, did not have our phone, and did not acknowledge or see the text. The maintenance man ended up on our back porch unannounced to us and made for a very uncomfortable situation.
To end with some positives the location is great, view is awesome, porch is great and we had a fine week. However, to list this house as exceptional is false advertising. It needs some work and attention.
