We had a lovely stay in the apartment, which is located on the edge of Isla, but well in walking distance of the center and beaches. We enjoyed having breakfast in the small garden as well as dinner- we used the bbq several times. There are also good and affordable options for eating out in Isla We also enjoyed playing padel, the court is a bit worn-down, but still fine to play on. We did not use the swimming pool, but we did observe it was rarely crowded. The sea was just perfect, we mostly went to the largest, most popular (though not very crowded) guarded beach bordering on a bay where the water was shallow and calm, but there are two other beaches that you can walk to from there, which are a bit more rugged with no guards and not crowded at all. There are many excursions you can do from Isla, we recommend visiting Santander, Bilbao and the Cueva El Soplao (caves). José is a very friendly host, he awaited us when we arrived Saturday evening, being very flexible, as we had to adjust our arrival time several times due to traffic. All in all it was a perfect holiday.

Wir haben zum zweiten Mal unseren Urlaub hier verbracht, da wir uns hier sehr wohl fühlen. Das Haus hat einen kleinen, von den Nachbargrundstücken mit einer Hecke abgeschirmten Garten, so dass man seine Privatsphäre genießen kann. Es gehört ein Tiefgaragenplatz zum Haus. Alles sehr praktisch und unkompliziert. Auch die Lage ist prima, da man direkt vom Haus aus wandern gehen kann ( Naturschutzgebiet und Wald in direkter Nachbarschaft). Zum Strand läuft man knappe 10 Minuten, 5 Minuten zum nächsten Laden ( Supermarkt, Banken und Metzgerei). Der gesamte kleine Ort ist sehr gepflegt und eignet sich auch zum Essen gehen oder für schöne Spaziergänge auf der Uferpromenade. Der Vermieter Jose ist sehr aufgeschlossen und freundlich und er hat uns sehr gute Tipps für Ausflüge in die nährere und weitere Umgebung sowie für Veranstaltungen gegeben. Auch die Kommunikation mit Ihm ist sehr nett . Wir können dieses Haus nur weiter empfehlen ! Danke Jose für die schöne Zeit !

Welcomed by the lovely host, José, who told us about the local area and places to visit. The home was superb. Well equipped, (although no kettle), well furnished, and very spacious - perfect for our young family of 5. The garden is ideal, with outdoor furniture and a barbecue. The local goat family are on hand for some laughs too.The apartment area is very quiet and peaceful.The secure garage is a great bonus. We had great fun in the pool, easily big enough for the family to swim, and we enjoyed the tennis court too. Only a 10 minute walk into the beach area, with 3 or 4 local beaches to suit all needs. Good supermarkets near by, many cafes and restaurants, and some lovely artisan shops. Well situated for exploring all of Cantabrias wealth of possibilities.Thank you, José, for sharing your home with us.
