We have owned this cottage for 23 years; and just recently decided to share it with guests!
Our 2-bedroom, 1.5-bathroom log cottage is the perfect nature getaway to spend time with loved ones. Located on a double lot (100ft) with plenty of privacy, on-site parking, and nightly EV charging available. You'll find spacious grounds for little ones (or your furry ones!) to run around in the yard. There is a BBQ grill and picnic table where you can enjoy tasty meals. There is also a fire pit, perfect for sitting around and roasting S'mores after a long day spent bathing at the lake. One of our favorite yard features is the 4x8ft outdoor private shower with hot/cold water just 2 steps from the back door! It's great to rinse off from the lake and even better to shower at night under the stars!
We provide 2 sit-in and 1 sit-on-top kayaks AND a stand-up paddle board (SUP), and carts for easy transport to and from the lake PLUS other water toys.
Additionally, there are plenty of activities to enjoy, including corn hole, frisbee golf, horseshoes, hammocking, and more.
Indoors, you'll find a full bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen, a dining area, and a living room featuring a 55-inch TV with FIBER internet (300GB) with access to Netflix, AppleTV, Disney+, and Hulu. There are also 2 local channels via an antenna. To fit the cozy cottage vibe, we also offer a DVR / VHS player with over 100 titles available! Plenty of seating options in the common areas make it perfect for quality time with your family or friends. The two bedrooms are right down the hall, each with its closet space and plenty of sunlight. The queen-sized bedroom with the twin bed features a 30" TV. If you want to unplug we also offer playing cards, games and puzzles.

Simple and stocked quaint cabin with in walking distance to shared beach on Torch Lake. Our family enjoyed daily use of our ski boat while exploring the sand bar, Clam River, Bellaire lake and the marinas. We spent 5 days playing on the water and were left still wanting to explore. On a rainy day, we went to Sleeping Bear Dunes and did 3 miles of the Dune climb.

It was very nice to have access to a small private beach. It was a very quick walk. Much easier to get to than the public access and shallow a pretty good ways out. You could easily hang out there and float for the day. The cabin has a lot of extras stocked and ready for you upon arrival. Tons of wood for fires, beach toys, kayaks, SUP. I had forgotten my toothbrush and they had one still in a package in the bathroom drawer. We also forgot our dogs life vest and they had two in the shed! It was well equipped and thoughtful. Outdoor shower was nice to rinse off after the Lake or have an additional shower for getting ready with more people. There is no a/c and we stayed during mid-high 80 degree days. We opened the windows and put fans in them to blow the cool evening air in at night, which made it comfortable enough to sleep well.

We had a great stay at Cabin on Ladd. It was quiet and peaceful, well-equipped with all the things we could have possibly needed for our stay. It was comfortable and clean, and welcomed our two little dachshunds- a must for our travels. The hosts were very responsive with any questions we had. We arrived to the property to find welcome goodies, including dog treats for our pups. The location is away from the hustle and bustle, but close enough to make a short drive to anything you might want to do in and around Torch Lake and Traverse City. There are great restaurants, trails, beaches, shops, wineries to visit. We had a great time.

The cabin was very cozy, comfortable, and clean. The hosts were very accommodating and prompt in communication. The setting in the woods is very peaceful and quiet. Access to torch lake was great. It brought back memories of our residents on torch.
