Welcome to Walnut Cottage, a charming 2-bedroom, 2-bath cottage tucked just one block from downtown Mentone and beautiful Brow Park. With a private hot tub, fenced yard, fire pit, and two screened porches, Walnut Cottage gives you an incredible location while still feeling like your own cozy mountain retreat.
Step inside to a bright, inviting living space with soaring vaulted ceilings and plenty of room to settle in after a day on the mountain. The fully equipped kitchen features granite countertops and a stone backsplash and has everything you need for meals at the cottage—or take an easy stroll into downtown Mentone for local restaurants, shops, and all the charm of our little mountain town.
When it’s time to call it a night, Walnut Cottage comfortably sleeps four with a King bedroom and Queen bedroom, both thoughtfully furnished with cozy bedding and comfortable spaces to unwind. Two full bathrooms are stocked with fluffy towels along with our favorite shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel for your stay.
And then there are the porches! Walnut Cottage has two screened porches, giving you even more space to enjoy those slow Mentone mornings and cool mountain evenings. The second screened porch is home to the private hot tub and comfortable lounge seating—the perfect spot for a long soak after hiking, exploring, or wandering around town.
Outside, the fenced yard gives your furry friends room to enjoy the fresh mountain air, while Adirondack seating around the fire pit makes evenings under the trees even better. A charcoal grill is also available when dinner calls for burgers instead of reservations.
Best of all, you’re just one block from downtown Mentone and Brow Park. Walk into town, catch a sunset at the brow, grab a bite to eat, explore for the day, and come home to your own hot tub, fire pit, and sweet little cottage in the heart of Mentone.

The property was great for our dog Lucy, who loved exploring the backyard, and loved even more walking the brow. The pictures are accurate and everything was clean, except there was a lot of dust on lamps and in corners -- but it is spring and everything is dusty.

Enjoyed this cute cottage very nicely decorated. Loved the screened in porch & hot tub excellent for a quick weekend get away!!!

The location was perfect for being on walking distance to the town shops and farmers Market on Saturdays. At sunset we walked up to Brow Park and watched the sunset. The locals are amazing people and very chill but friendly. The beds are so comfortable, the house is very clean, loved the washer and dryer, and all the amenities we needed. We loved hiking and then relaxing in the hot tub for inflamed joints. Love that most people love animals there so we brought our woof child and she loved running in the backyard. About 8 minutes to Desota Falls but the park also has some nice hiking trails (we started at the boardwalk for two falls). Very close to Wildflowers and Hatters and those are a must but check to see if you need to make reservations.
