The Nest at Hoot Owl Hollow is a fully renovated 1880s log cabin offering the rare combination of historic character and modern comfort — all within walking distance of downtown Mentone.
With two private King suites, each with its own full bath, plus a separate bunk room, The Nest is ideal for couples traveling together or families who appreciate both privacy and shared gathering space. Guests often say it feels like “two cabins in one” because of the thoughtful layout.
The main suite includes a spacious bath with dual vanities, clawfoot tub, and separate shower. The second King suite also features a private bath. The fully equipped kitchen includes a gas range and opens to the living area, where comfortable seating surrounds a gas fireplace.
Step outside to the covered front porch or the stone patio with wood-burning outdoor fireplace (firewood provided). Floor-to-ceiling windows offer wooded views that make you feel immersed in nature — yet you are just steps from Mentone’s village shops, restaurants, Brow Park, and seasonal events.
Nearby attractions include DeSoto Falls (3 miles), DeSoto State Park (9 miles), and Little River Canyon (18 miles).
