About this house rental
NOTE: 4WD/AWD required in winter with snow tires (Thanksgiving through late March). Chains can be rented in the neighborhood for $30/day.
The house is currently undergoing an extensive remodel and will have 6 bedrooms when complete and all of the bedrooms will be access via the interior of the home (complete April 2026).
Our custom home features 6 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms sits on 1.2 acres and is located above Columbine Lake with a private hot tub.
Less then 2 miles from Purgatory Ski Resort and 25 miles from historic downtown Durango, the home offers privacy and seclusion and amenities including 3 outdoor living spaces including the deck off the main living space which features view of Columbine Lake, a private hot tub, outdoor dining table, BBQ grill and additional seating. The luxury home also features super fast Starlink WIFI (100MBs), You Tube TV, washer/dryer, 2 car garage and a gourmet kitchen. And while not needed very often, the home does have central AC for those occasional warm summer days.
The Main Living Space features floor to ceiling windows with amazing views.

Overall everything about this home was wonderful! The check in process was simple, the house was exactly as described and very clean. We loved the location! It was quiet and secluded, but an easy drive to Durango to explore town and grab a meal. The views were beautiful and the amazing hot tub was the cherry on top!

My family and I booked this place mainly for the beautiful mountainous views, hot tub and location.
The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable, with cozy beds and plenty of storage. The bathrooms and common areas were also spacious and clean. However, I must mention that when we arrived, we noticed some minor cleanliness issues that slightly marred our first impression. There were some dust build-ups on the ceiling fans, and we spotted a few spider webs in the light fixtures. Outside, there were cobwebs on the exterior windows, and we noticed minor debris on the floors. These issues didn't significantly affect our overall experience, they are minor details that the property management should address more attentively.
The kitchen was well-equipped and functional, making it easy for us to prepare meals for a family of any size. The dining area offered a fantastic space for communal meals, and the deck with a barbecue was a great spot for outdoor dining while taking in the breathtaking mountain views.
The natural beauty and tranquility of the location, coupled with the cozy and inviting interior, make it a great choice for large or small families to connect with nature and create lasting memories.
