Breathtaking Mountain Views!!! Elevation is 3250'. Our air conditioned mountain cottage is Open Concept, hardwood floors, ceiling beams and beautiful mountain furnishings and decor. Pine finish cabinetry, quartz countertops, and stainless appliances. There is a full-size stack washer/dryer for your convenience.
One bedroom has a King bed, second bedroom has a Queen bed. Both bedrooms have beautiful en-suite bathrooms with tiled walk-in showers.
You will enjoy the huge deck for morning coffee or meals where you can watch for deer, bears, turkeys, birds and other wildlife. There is a table and chairs plus 2 lounge chairs for your enjoyment.
The cottage is located in beautiful Alpine Village, where you can enjoy convenient access to the Clubhouse, heated salt water swimming pool, fire pit and shuffleboard court. The heated swimming pool is usually open between Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends weather permitting.
You will enjoy the quiet solitude of our cabin which is surrounded by the Pisgah National Forest. Visit quaint town of Burnsville and other surrounding mountain towns. Mt. Mitchell State Park is 30 minutes away and we are just 3 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway.
The hiking trail head starts behind the Clubhouse and goes to the top of Mt. Mitchell a 3400' elevation change. There are many hiking trails in the area, some including waterfalls.
Burnsville has nice restaurants and shops. The Mt. Mitchell (public) Golf Course is 10 minutes away with 18 holes and Hawtree's Pub.
This vacation home is located on a steep mountain ridge and there are hazards relative to staying in a mountain property. By the very booking of this listing, you acknowledge and agree to hold harmless the property owner, property representative or property owner's heirs in perpetuity from the result of any injury, death or incident of any kind by an fault, act or behavior of person or persons and guests thereof lodging or non-guest(s) at this property as a result of this offering or not a result of this offering, including but not limited to acts of God and/or nature.

We had the best time at this beautiful cabin! Check in was easy, cabin was very clean and Brenda was such a delight to work with. This little gem is a duplex, but having Brenda close was so helpful for any question we had about the area.
The cabin is completely private, so truly a great combination of privacy and availability for anything. The view from the back balcony is gorgeous! We had so many meals on the deck just taking it all in.
We swam everyday, enjoyed the clubhouse fire pit and hiked the gorgeous waterfall that is only 1 mile away. We had a picnic on the the blue ridge parkway and visited Little Switzerland. Such a sweet summer retreat for our family of 5.

We just spent a very pleasant five days at this cottage. We were impressed at how immaculately clean and well maintained the property was kept. This particular unit was very close to the heated pool which our two little ones appreciated. I also enjoyed the awesome view of the mountains from the very spacious back deck. All in all, we had a great stay!

The place we spotless upon arrival and first thing we did was go to the deck to see the amazing view. As we were unloading Brenda, the owner who was staying next door, came out and welcomed us. She was very helpful in every aspect from opening the pool, directions to the waterfalls or just informing us of any issues. This wasn't an issue for us but bring plenty of food because the nearest place to get something to eat may only be 10 miles but it will take at least 30 minutes to get there. Overall this place was great, very quiet and we would stay there again. Chad
