Rooster's Inn offers a plethora of resort amenities and is conveniently located near many local attractions, including waterfalls, hiking trails, fishing spots, and restaurants.
Rooster's Inn is a beautifully crafted 600 sq ft cabin that combines rustic charm with modern amenities. It sleeps up to five guests, with a queen bed in the bedroom, two twin day beds in the dining area, and a pull-out sofa in the living room. We provide a variety of amenities, such as high-speed internet, a Keurig coffee maker, games, puzzles, fishing poles, and pool sticks.
As a guest of Mountain Lakes, you will have access to a wide range of resort amenities, including indoor and outdoor pools, playgrounds, horseback rides (extra fee and reservation required) in the National Forest, Clubhouse with a sitting room, TV, sauna, fitness room, pool table, foosball, puzzles, games, a 55-acre lake stocked with fish, paddle boats, beach, water slide, miniature golf, hiking trails, and waterfalls. Wi-Fi is available not only at the cabin but also at the Resort Lodge and Country Store.
Please note that our reservation policy limits occupancy to five guests (It’s a small cabin) and our cabin is strictly non-smoking and pet-free. An amenity pass is REQUIRED for all guests by Mountain Lakes which should be purchased from the Clubhouse prior to your arrival. Adults are $8/day and children are $5/day. Please call the Clubhouse at 706-865-4742 to have your passes ready at the security gate.
Check-in time is 4 PM, and early check-in may be available upon request. Check-out time is 11 AM. Inside the cabin, you will find a Guest Book with additional important information about your stay.

The little cabin is so cute and cozy. We made great memories, and the recommendations by the owner were spot on! The hot tub is broken and has been for four years so that was disappointing, but it probably would’ve been packed if it were working. The mountain resort is very family friendly and feels very safe. It’s a little run down because of age and probably lack of resources (). The staff was incredibly nice and helpful. We went to Brasstown Bald, but it was super foggy and we couldn’t se e. We noted viewing the wildlife. Helen was quaint and touristy. So many things to do and see. Most of the shop owners were really nice. Spice Thai and sushi was the best food we had by far. Cannot recommend it enough. We went tubing with Cool Water. Also, the Junior Explorer obstacle course isn’t worth 45 unless your kids are little or it’s a first time experience. At Cool Water for tubing- Make sure you get a stick, and if they tell you the shorter trip has sticks for use, insist on getting the stick at the two hour starting point. We will definitely come back!

Overall, we had a decent stay, but there were several surprises that I wish had been clearer in the listing.The cabin itself is absolutely adorable, very clean, and well maintained. The shower was wonderful, although the hot water didn't last very long. There was an abundance of towels, which we really appreciated, and there were thoughtful hospitality items left behind by previous guests that came in handy. The cabin is also conveniently located just a short drive from Helen, Georgia.The biggest surprise was the location. The listing describes it as a resort property, but it is actually located inside a campground. The cabin sits directly in the middle of a large group of campers and RVs with very little space around it. The campground residents were some of the nicest people you could meet—they were incredibly friendly and welcoming. If I had been looking to camp in a camper or tent, this would have been a perfect place. However, when I rent a cabin, I expect a little privacy, some yard space, and more of a secluded, wooded atmosphere.Another disappointment was that none of the advertised amenities are included with the cabin rental. Activities such as horseback riding and the other resort amenities all require separate reservations and additional payment. We also had to purchase resort passes in advance just to be able to leave and re-enter the property, even though we never used a single amenity. I think this should be made much clearer in the listing so guests know

The cabin was very well set up.Everything we needed. Wish we had a dish drainer though for drying. There were electrical issues. The power flickered numerous times and tripped a breaker. Great location and very quiet.

Very cozy cabin and very clean. The cabin has everything you may need during your stay. However, we were required to buy amenity passes but none of the amenities were available due to them being closed all throughout our stay.
