This property was lovely. A nice easy walk to the dock by the gorgeous shady trees!
Host was gracious enough to supply bottled water even though the well water was perfectly fine to drink. I appreciate access to all the things most owners hide away… extra trash bags, hornet spray (needed! but staying by the lake always means bugs… no big deal), extra towels, sheets, blankets, even an umbrella… so much more than you’d ever need, but nice it’s available! There were even pens/pencils, pot holders and tongs - something surprisingly missing from former rentals. Good communication with owner.
My only complaint (other than pricing) would be that the bed situation was not as listed. My little girls were expecting a bunk bed, but it was changed to a queen bed in that room. This can be an issue for kids that *need* to sleep in separate beds. They ended up in the King and it worked out, just disappointing. Set up as of Aug 2024 is King, King & Queen. There is also a single bed in the primary bdrm with the King, but… um, no. LOL Also the Queen bdrm doesn’t have a door… just a curtain - this can also be an issue with young kids (noise issue) so just a heads up.
Decent privacy from neighbors. Probably due to time of our visit (just before school starting), but we were the only ones swimming the whole time we were there. Quiet. Just us and the herons. Trees across lake make for good shade for evening swims.
