About this villa rental
Villa Le Panteraie gets its name from the hill on which it is perched and is 300 mt above sea level. It looks down on the seductive scenery which it has before it, the green hills of the Valdinievole which crown the entire center of Montecatini, limited only by the Pisa and Livorno plain, and the towering profile of the antique medieval Montecatini Alto with its narrow streets and castles, which act as sentinels over the magnificent panorama.
The villa is in a key position for visiting the famous spa establishments of Montecatini,(visited in the past by Verdi, Puccini and many other famous names). Also easy to visit are the art cities of Florence, Lucca, Volterra, San Gimignano and Pisa. The guests of the villa can also visit the nearby beaches of Versilia with it’s exciting night life. On the outside of the villa is an enormous park, which extends in terraces according to the slope of the hillside. At the lower level is the parking area , whereas on the upper levels the guests can walk in the tranquility of the woods and olive grove. The house garden is full of flowering plants and flowers; it is fenced and surrounded by hedges – it is the ideal place to relax under the open sky while the children can enjoy the games area with a swing, playhouse etc. The pool is on the long, panoramic terrace and includes a lounge area with divan and armchairs.
Close by there is a gazebo which includes a kitchen with a hob/stove, sink, and gas grill. Here it is possible to eat in the shade or enjoy a glass of excellent Tuscan wine. The splendid, heated panoramic pool is at the front of the villa and can be reached through the living-room French window. Around the pool there are elegant divans, tables, chairs- ideal for sunbathing or enjoying the fresh evening air. The pool is open from the last Saturday of April to the first Saturday of October. It faces south which permits a hilly panorama extending from the garden to the Montecatini Terme plain.The pool, in pvc, has a rectangular form with curved sides; it is 4×8 metres and 1.40 metres deep.
