Torre Angelina is a structure, newly restored with elegant taste, set on the green hills of the Valdinievole. The hills surround the entire town of Montecatini Terme, bordered on the horizon by the plain that stretches towards Pisa and which ends on the towering outline of the old medieval borgo of Montecatini Alta with its alleys and castles, sentinel from on top its dominant position with wonderful panoramic views. This is the viewpoint, unique at dark when illuminated by the lights of the town, seen from the delightful swimming pool and the garden that surrounds this particular, stylishly-refined residence. The villa is characterised by the charm of Tuscan architectural tradition combined with the new technologies of green design, such as walls insulated with hemp and ceilings with exposed beams and terracotta tiles. The structure is enriched with elegant details, with walls frescoed in an eclectic style and characterised by unique and original rooms. It is also equipped with solar panels and super efficient systems providing you with rare comfort. The property has three floors; on the ground floor is a bright, cosy kitchen next to the dining room with a guest bathroom. On the same floor are two bedrooms with ensuite bathroom and in the tower, on the ground floor, is a living area with Smart TV and fireplace. On the top floor, besides a small sitting room with sofa bed, are the other bedrooms with tasteful design and panoramic view. The property is less than 3 km from the spas that have brought international fame and prestige to Montecatini Terme which, with its vital force flowing from the ground, its Art Nouveau-style buildings, tree-lined avenues and large parks, is the most precious gem in the centre of an artistic and panoramic area of exceptional quality; it is the perfect starting point, thanks also to its proximity to the A11 motorway (less than ten minutes away), for visiting the main cities of Tuscany, such as Florence, Pistoia, Lucca and Pisa, as well as the beautiful sea of the Versilian coast, just half an hour away. Furthermore, for sports enthusiasts there are riding clubs, tennis clubs and a prestigious 18-hole golf course in the amazing setting of Monsummano Terme in the immediate vicinity of the property. Near the property is the departure station for transport of unique charm, L'ANTICA FUNICOLARE (funicular railway) dated 1898, which will take you in just a few minutes to Montecatini Alto, a medieval borgo with beautiful little streets full of small shops and typical restaurants where you can spend relaxing evenings. N.B. The property borders (on one side) the owners' villa, from which it is separated by a hedge screen to guarantee privacy.
Interior:
The villa has 3 floors connected by two staircases. On the ground floor is a brightly-lit and fully-equipped kitchen connected to the dining room with smart TV and to the guest bathroom. Leaving this area through French windows, you come to an outdoor dining area shaded by a medlar and a living area with comfortable seating. Also on the ground floor are two double bedrooms with ensuite bathroom and, in correspondence with the tower, a living area with smart TV; from here a cypress-wood staircase (not suitable for seniors and children) leads up to a sitting room with sofa bed and a bathroom with shower serving the panoramic double bedroom which can be reached by continuing up the staircase. The second staircase, from the dining room on the ground floor, leads up to two bedrooms with ensuite bathroom. Adjacent to the kitchen, with entrance from the garden, is the laundry area.
Park:
The area surrounding the villa extends for 8000 sq m, in terraces mostly cultivated with olives and fruit trees. The part in front of the villa is paved and contains the living area surrounded by laurel hedges to guard your privacy; past the green lawn is an area paved in tuff with the outdoor dining area and the bbq, all shaded by a centuries-old medlar .Please notice that photos are taken in spring, therefore flower blossoming, and the colours of the gardens' grass could be different at the moment of your arrival at the villa.
Swimming Pool:
The swimming pool, open from the last Saturday in April to the first Saturday in October, is located at the rear of the villa, on a panoramic terrace 60 metres away and is reached along a gently sloping path. Kissed by the sun thanks to its south-facing position, it enjoys a typically Valdinievole picturesque view that stretches as far as the eye can see towards the Pisan mountains. The rectangular pool, measuring 6 x 12 with a depth of 1.40 m, is lined in PVC with a travertine edge, internal lighting and Roman steps for access to the water. Surrounding the pool is the paved solarium area with comfortable sunbeds shaded by umbrellas, two cabins and an outdoor shower.
