Convenient & Spacious Downtown - Private Parking Included

This trip was a Christmas gift for my 6 adult children, something I do every other year. When I started looking for a Vrbo, I knew that I wanted a place with history, a place that oozed with the essence of Galena. This beautiful Rowe house was the perfect fit! Very clean, lots of space, super close to downtown and stocked with everything you’d ever need. Parking was a bit challenging but we made it work. Thank goodness we carpooled. And, we really would have enjoyed a second shower, since none of us are tub people.All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would rate this beautiful home a 9 out of 10. Thank you for letting us enjoy and experience a piece of Galena’s history.

We recently stayed at this charming home in Galena, Illinois and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how clean and well-maintained the property was. It was stocked with more than just the basics, making us feel right at home.Traveling with a diverse group of eight, ranging from ages 14 to 67, we all found something to enjoy. The side porch became our favorite gathering spot. We also spent time playing board and card games around the spacious dinning table. Many memorable chess matches took place at the chess table provided, adding a fun touch to our evenings! The bedrooms were cozy and comfortable, ensuring restful nights after our daily adventures. Galena itself is a gem, filled with activities and stunning scenery. We particularly loved our unique experience where we enjoyed a delightful trek/walk with goats. The slide and ski lifts at local resort was a hit, too!One of the highlights was the ghost bus tour which was both entertaining and informative. Overall, this vacation rental exceeded our expectations, and we highly recommend it for anyone looking to explore the rich history and beauty of Galena, IL.

This place proved to be an excellent lodging for a family gathering of six--four adults and two teenagers. Great location on a fairly quiet street in downtown Galena, enabling walking to many places of interest. Off-street parking for two vehicles was nice. The full kitchen was well-furnished with all the basics, making it easy to prepare some of our meals at the house. The numerous bedrooms on floors 2 and 3 had comfortable beds and gave our group plenty of space. We would welcome an occasion to stay there again.

We had 8 people stay in this beautiful house for a long weekend. We had lots of room and all the amenities we needed.We were able to walk to the downtown area for shopping and restaurants! We had a deer visit us a few of the mornings. We would definitely stay here again!
