Dune House is a rare jewel, nestled on a double beachfront lot with stunning, unobstructed views of the Gulf. Designed by renowned architect Scott Merrill, this home pays homage to the original home ambiance of early Seaside, Florida, while seamlessly blending modern elegance with the natural beauty of its extraordinary setting. Dune House holds a special place in cinematic history, having served as the home to the director of The Truman Show during the filming of this beloved classic movie in Seaside.
The first floor of Dune House features two beautifully appointed bedrooms, each with its own private ensuite bathroom. The first bedroom is a spacious primary suite with a king-sized bed, offering a serene retreat. This room comes with a renovated private bath that features a luxury spa-like glass-enclosed rain shower with multiple shower heads and a large ceiling rain shower. Off this primary is a screened-in private porch with a hammock and a double rocker with stunning gulf views through the dunes, the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee while enjoying the gulf breeze and listening to the sound of the waves. The second guest bedroom is a queen with an ensuite bath and a private screened front porch, ensuring ultimate comfort and privacy for guests. This queen ensuite bath features a single vanity and a soaker tub with a shower. The screened porch has seating for two and is very private, surrounded by lush landscaping. This private home is perfect for two couples and or young families wanting a beachfront Seaside escape!
The second floor is designed with an open floor plan that connects the kitchen, dining area, and living room, creating a bright and airy space perfect for entertaining or unwinding with gulf views throughout. The dining area comfortably seats five and offers glimpses of the Gulf, making it an ideal place to enjoy meals while taking in the beauty of the coastal landscape just outside your generous beachfront porch.
Adjacent to the dining area, the living room is surrounded by a wall of windows, providing stunning panoramic views of the Gulf and flooding the space with natural light. The kitchen, conveniently located next to the dining and living areas, is well-equipped for preparing meals and creating memorable moments with family and friends. The kitchen features a large double door fridge with ice maker and water dispenser, a six-burner gas Viking stovetop and oven, coffee pot, microwave, and ample cookware to prepare meals at home. Additionally, a half bath is available on the second floor for guests, adding convenience and comfort to this well-designed space.
The true gem of the home is the expansive open-air beachfront porch with a shaded canopy that provides the most stunning panoramic gulf views and incredible sunsets! There are two chaise loungers for sunning on your private porch and outdoor dining for dining al fresco while you watch the sunset!

Location of this beach house is perfect. The kitchen was well stocked, we like to cook when we are on vacation as a family. We enjoyed stay, but I do have a few areas for improvement.1. For this price you need to upgrade the TV. I know the whole when you’re at the beach you’re not there to watch television, but we were rained in all day Tuesday. We had exhausted all of our games. The TV is tiny and is not a smart TV. This level of home and in this price range I would expect better2. None of the outlets in the bathrooms work so drying your hair, electric toothbrush, etc., or a real problem. I even tried the upstairs bathroom and no luck.3. Other than the chair in front of the television, the living room furniture was uncomfortable. I’m not sure how old that couch is, but it’s like sitting on a rock.

The house is great. Our only feedback is that the TV needs to be bigger to see it from the couch. There is plenty of space to accommodate a slightly larger tv.

This was the perfect place to get away. The upstairs porch was the best way to watch the sunset every night. The bedrooms are spacious with plenty of storage. The bathrooms are updated and very nice. This home is steps from the beach and is just a walk away from all the restaurants and shops in Seaside.

We were very satisfied with the location. The house was clean, but we saw more roaches than in a 1960s Panama City Beach motel. The pest control and the TV situation needs to be addressed before we could recommend it to a friend. The lone TV was the size of a computer monitor. It needed to be in and would be suitable for the Master BR. The living room needs a larger screen.
