Really unique memorable holiday place to stay, The Tower was totally as advertised, perhaps even better, great fun for a few days away. Lovely location with the most beautiful walk along the Tweed into Peebles and back. The Tower was cosy, lots of stairs of course, plenty or room for 2 plus 2 dogs. Loads of wood included for fires.

Absolutely awesome experience. Beautiful place. We walked into Peebles along River Tweed and through half-mile tunnel. It was fantastic. Grounds were beautiful as well! Well worth it!

This is such a wonderful place. It is totally beautiful in every way. The design is stunning, a perfect balance maintaining the feel of the original character of the place whilst also having the comfort of all the modcons! A lot of flight of stairs so probably not ideal for the very young or elderly but perfect for everyone else! Also wonderful walks from the Tower.

We loved our stay in Barns Tower. It is a stunning historical timepiece. It is well equipped and the rooms are cosy. However, you need to be fit to climb the 4 flights of old stone/wood stairs. Also the doors are low and my husband bumped his head many times! There wasn't enough information about heating controls, hot water etc. Apart from that it was incredible!

Barns Tower exceeded our expectations. We were looking for a personal castle stay, but for only two people. This place delivered! The drive in is beautiful, and there is a gorgeous walking path all around that will take you to many pastures of adorable livestock to watch frolic. The tower itself is so magical I want to live there! From the old staircases and historical references and touches, to the luxury touches like heated bathroom floors, fresh eggs and bread, and a collection of games and dvds, this place did not disappoint. We will be coming back, all the way from Canada!

We had the absolute pleasure of staying at Barns Tower for our friends’ wedding weekend at Neidpath Castle, and it was one of the most unique and charming accommodations we've ever experienced. Nestled in the peaceful countryside just minutes from the castle, the tower felt like something out of a medieval fairytale; with the perfect blend of rustic history and cozy comfort. From the moment we arrived, we were enchanted. The spiral staircase, stone walls, and wood-beamed ceilings made every room feel like a step back in time. And yet, the modern touches; plush bedding, a fully equipped kitchen, and a beautiful bathroom. This made the stay so relaxing and comfortable. We especially loved gathering in the open-plan living space for coffee in the mornings, with the soft light pouring in and views of the surrounding hills. Barns Tower was not only a beautiful home base for exploring the area, but also a special part of the entire wedding experience. It was such a joy to be just a short drive from Neidpath Castle, and we loved returning to this serene retreat after each magical event. Everything was spotless, thoughtfully prepared, and truly one-of-a-kind. If you're looking for accommodation with soul, history, and charm, Barns Tower is it. It made an unforgettable weekend even more meaningful, and we feel so lucky to have stayed here.

Barns Tower was everything we could have imagined. That being said it can be challenging to stay there as there is a lot of steps to contend with as every living space is on a different level. Think of a lighthouse. Loved how it was decorated in period furnishings to give you the feel of being transported back centuries. There are a few modern conveniences though. The grounds are truly amazing and so peaceful. If your up to having a very unique experience this is the place. We're so very happy we did it.

We absolutely loved staying in Barnes Tower! It was amazing how it could feel so authentic and old and yet have everything you needed. The shower was amazing. Everything was super clean with the exception of old things you cannot clean in the way that you do today, like rock floors, and such! I feel as though they thought of everything when preparing this for people to stay! They supply you with basic needs, like coffee, milk, eggs, bread for toast, jam and butter, so you really could survive on what they have supplied. We did stop and purchase some cheese and wine in case we were to get stuck there! We did not rent a car, but for the most part could get transportation into town with the different local taxi services and one night we had Indian food delivered directly to the tower! I was worried my husband would not like it as much as I would because he usually likes a nice hotel with all the amenities, but he had a wonderful time! We walked (into Peebles), every day for at least 3 hours! One day he walked without me in the rain and came back happy as could be! Even when it rains it’s comfortable! He also golfed the Peeblgolf course for 25 pounds and thought it a great experience. There were so many cool stories to go with the property! We would come back in a heartbeat!
