Just a short drive south from San Pedro Town, on the island of Ambergris Caye, accessible via cobblestone and hard packed island-style sand streets, sits La Casa Gran Azul.
On a quiet stretch of beach, with its own infinity pool and pier leading out over calm-shallow waters, Casa Gran Azul is a 2-level bright and colorful home with vaulted Belizean wood ceilings, airy spaces and air-conditioned bedrooms. No next door neighbors, jungle lots on both sides lots of birds

Each level (not connected) offers a fully equipped kitchen and living room area, 2 bathrooms with showers, laundry facilities, comfortable beds, and outdoor living space overlooking the infinity pool, pier, and natural Caribbean waters with native Mangroves and birdlife abound.
And, you have the choice of renting just one, or renting both levels of this gated residence. Either way, you can be sure of your privacy, because if you rent just one floor we will leave the other floor vacant!

La Gran Casa Azul is located approximately 2.6 miles south of San Pedro Town, the only town located on the island of Ambergris Caye. South Ambergris is one of the remaining areas of the island still unpaved and accessible via old-style hard packed sand streets. An area within reach of San Pedro town via golf cart rental but far enough away from the hustle and bustle to ensure your peace and tranquility. The area of South Ambergris Caye also offers regular Neighborhood Watch patrols and a police substation.

The cleaning fee is $250 USD (tax inclusive) and will be collected with your rental payments, according to our payment policy. The cleaning fee includes one mid-stay cleaning. Additional days of housekeeping can be purchased at $125 USD per day (entire house), but we ask that you schedule it one-week prior to your arrival. Additional days of housekeeping will be charged to your incidental invoice for payment upon departure.
Our home comes with daily groundskeeping services. We also offer concierge services for snorkeling, diving, adventure tours, inland transfers and shuttle service, golf cart rentals, provisioning, and more! You are getting your own island home with the amenities of a full-service resort to make your vacation perfect.

This is the perfect spot for a beach getaway. The view was amazing and all rooms have air conditioners. Erik, the property manager was very helpful.

I think I'm going to be a broken record when it comes to reviewing this house. It is remote and private, very clean and well maintained by the caretaker Erik and his dog Brownie. They're what put the stay over the top for us. Erik had golf carts waiting at the house as well as a cab that met us at the airport on arrival. He and Brownie made sure we knew all the spots to try out and Erik went above and beyond preparing the fish we caught on our fishing trip. For me, my only issue, (it's not a complaint) was the fact that the house changed ownership between the time we reserved it and the time we stayed. Again, not a complaint, it just meant that communication with the owner was non-existent. Erik more than made up for that fact. If you're looking for someplace private to relax and unwind but not too far away from town, this is the place. Clean rooms, great AC and great views. Erik does a great job keeping this place running smoothly.

Host was very responsive to all email questions. Erik was the onsite caretaker and was absolutely excellent. we used What's app to communicate to almost everyone and between our family once arrived--free. He arranged for our family of 8 to have taxi pickup. Driver offered to stop at a local market on the way to get some groceries. We bought a lot of eggs! Alcohol was expensive at the store, but we didn't want to carry it from the US. We had 6 adults and 2 children, aged 5 and 6. Kids loved playing in the sand, and we all played in the beautiful pool. We had multiple excursions, mostly snorkeling and fishing, scheduled with Eric's help, including an in-house chef for our 50th anniversary dinner-wonderful! Erik was out each day to make sure our boat picked us up. He had our golf carts delivered to the house prior to our arrival. The house was perfect for our needs, roomy for meals, comfortable beds and good air conditioning. Small markets close by for eggs, fruits, and vegetables. Many restaurants from inexpensive (roadside taco's) to very fancy (expensive) close by. Beach view was great, but sea grape-seaweed was thick. Kids swam off the dock, shallow water. Used both kayaks and paddle boards. Good time had by all! Highly recommend!!
