About this cabin rental
Welcome to Alpha’s Log Cabin, the perfect getaway. Relax in the quiet of the woods on the covered porch and hear the sounds of babbling creek.
Step inside and you are greeted by warmth and comfort. The Living Room has a Sleeper Sofa, Wood Stove, Smart TV with streaming services, Board Games, and Books. You will find the Kitchen fully equipped. One Bathroom with a Clawfoot Tub and Shower. Large Loft bedroom with one Queen Bed and Twin. WiFi is provided.
A window air conditioner and window fan are installed in the summer months, even though the cabin usually stays at a comfortable temperature.
The cabin also has an outdoor fire pit (wood provided) and charcoal grill for your enjoyment.
Alpha’s Log Cabin is located five miles from the Historic Town of Franklin. In the area you will find hiking, hunting, fishing, kayaking, spelunking, rock climbing and golfing
Attractions within the county include Pike Knob, Nelson Sods, Seneca Rocks, Spruce Knob (highest point in WV) Nelson Rocks (Nation's Premiere Via Ferrata, outdoor zip lines) Smoke Holes, Yokum’s Stables (horseback ride to top of Seneca rocks) Warners Drive Inn and Swilled Dog Cidery.

We had a lovely experience celebrating our son’s birthday here—Dinah added thoughtful special touches that were a lovely surprise. The cabin is well stocked with everything you might need. The location is accessible but remote enough to be off the beaten path, not have road noise and have an incredible dark night sky. Dinah was incredibly responsive to our queries as they came along. We look forward to visiting again!

Very quiet and private. Kitchen was stocked with cooking necessities and had some seasoning, flour, and sugar. Host was great about returning messages and making your stay comfortable. Came to a warm cabin because they started the woodstove for us. They also left snacks and cookies. The cabin was in a good location. Close enough to the main road, but far enough it was quiet and peaceful. It was nice sitting outside by the fire and not seeing anyone or hearing traffic go by.

Loved the location after we finally found it. The cabin was beautiful. Air conditioning not what we expected. We had to stop in Franklin to ask for directions to Johnson Hollow Road. Cabin very difficult to find
