About this cabin rental
If you are looking for a quite place in the mountain - this is it. The inside is from rough cut lumber though out the cabin. Mostly Oak, Pine, Black Walnut, and Cherry . The bathroom wood is black walnut its stocked with all the things you would need towels, hand towels, wash cloths, bath mat, shampoo, body wash, toilet paper, hand soap, and hair dryer. Both bedrooms have antique double beds with all linens, closets with luggage racks with clothes hangers, side tables lamps with clocks. There is a pack and play in the bedroom closet. The high bar top is cherry above it is a light bar made from a cedar tree from the property with a LED light that changes colors. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the utensils you would need. The curtains where hand made from my late grandmother. In the living room I have a DVD player with some movies and WiFi for your enjoyment. There is a full size air mattress in a storage bin with all the linens to go with it. I also have a sofa bed that is a full size. So I can sleep 8 people. There is a split unit for heat/Ac. for them really cold nights there is a woodstove to heat things up. For them furry little creatures you being along with you there is also a beds so they will feel right at home. I have board games and a few toys and books for the kids and the big kids. There is a very large picnic table made of pine outside under the over hang. Bring your charcoal because I have a grill waiting for you. A open field in the front of the cabin for recreation activities, a pond on the property with a fire pit. There is a small charcoal grill and chairs to sit in at the pond where the fire pit is. I also have firewood there for your enjoyment for a donation.
Also the pin map on Vrbo isn’t correct. The cabin is located north/east of Franklin WV. Mapquest is the best location system to use to locate the cabin.
I also provide Wi-Fi cause the cell phone service isn’t very good at the cabin.
Lay your phones down and enjoy the out doors. Early in the morning and later evening you might get to see the deer that comes on the property.

The cabin was perfect for my family of 8 our furbabies. It was very clean and the rustic decor was impressive. As a matter fact we arrived about 4 hours before check in and the host’s son which was cleaning the cabin let us go ahead and check in early. He was very nice. The host was very quick to respond to any questions u had. The beds were comfy and there were plenty of linens for my family of 7 adults and 1 grandchild. The pond across the road was a bonus even though there was a lot of water shed in it while we were there. Did catch a few blue gills. If ur there with intentions of visiting Spruce Knob or Seneca they are a little under and hour hour drive away. Make sure u check out Triangle Rock which is right up the road from Smoke holes. It a very nice little swimming spot to cool off on a hot day. All in all Our stay was very nice and we would definately book again.

This was a clean cabin, stated that it slept 8 but there is no way 8 men could sleep comfortably. The listing stated that it was 2.4 miles from Franklin, but it was definitely further than expected. Took at least 20 mins to get to Franklin. All in all the place was nice. We wished there had been a fire pit outside the cabin and not across the road by the pond. After checking around we believe the price could be a little less.

The cabin itself is nice with a nice plot of land to explore…once you find it. The number she gives you for the address for the cabin is not what’s on the mailboxes, and you can’t see the number on the front of the cabin. When you plug it in any GPS, it’s actually 2 miles past the cabin address. This is a big issue in my book. The other issue I had was it says “pet friendly” and appears very pet friendly inside but when I said I was bringing the dog she charged me an extra 50. I’ve never had anyone charge undisclosed pet fee before; it’s not anywhere mentioned on her page that an additional pet fee will apply, I had just said btw out of courtesy I’ll be bringing my dog (since it says you can bring up to four). This is a very basic cabin, and sits right off the road also next to a second cabin with plenty of land but is far from town, lots of (beautiful) driving. Be prepared to bring what you need, there was limited items in regards to a “fully stocked kitchen” beside a few spices. You have to bring everything you need from sugar, to condiments to a cutting board, and foil/plastic wrap. There were basic pots and pans, but don’t leave anything out because little critters at night will be looking for your goods- keep stuff in the fridge or Tupperware. I was disappointed that the sheets weren’t as clean as I’d hoped they’d be, I’m not super picky but I don’t want to sleep on someone else’s hair :/ It was a beautiful place at night though, sit out and look at the stars,amazing
