About this house rental
Spacious and comfortable, the Sand Piper has many appealing qualities and amenities. It boasts a full kitchen complete with cookware, a washer/dryer, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms with large showers and the living area has a sleeper sofa as well. There is a terrific view of the Gulf of Mexico from the living/kitchen area that steps out into porch over-looking Gulf Drive and the beach in the near distance.
Charming original architectural features have been kept from the original building, including the antique door and the vintage wooden ceiling from the 1920's. Both #201 Sandpiper & #301 Pelican share the swimming pool but will have a private cabana with a grill assigned at either end.
The location is fairly central to the island, with Bridge St only about 1 mile away and several trolley stops nearby.

The unit was mostly clean, though we did find a couple stray dead roaches in the kitchen and when we arrived one of the toilets had been previously used and was not flushed. Both were minor inconveniences, but I do think a deeper clean would be good soon. The noise insulation was basically non existent in the master bedroom, so the family in their pool next door until midnight meant my wife and I could not sleep. However, our kids were in the other room and it had great noise insulation so they slept well.My only other comment is that one of the mornings the reek of marijuana blew in the central AC while we were having breakfast. Im not sure where it was coming from but it did clear out after 45 minutes or so. The location is wonderful, close to the beach and Publix. We had easy access to the private pool and a 5 min walk to the beach. Our family had a wonderful time. The host was very responsive and helpful. We would stay there again!

Great location with great view of the ocean and sunsets. It is within walking distance to a lot of great restaurants and ocean front dining.
