About this house rental
Treat yourself to a fabulous getaway in North Portland, located two blocks away from the stunning Peninsula Park Rose Gardens and Fountain, and blocks away from the Historic N Mississippi area. This vibrant historic area is bustling with boutiques, coffee shops, music venues, outdoor cafes, and great energy. Located close in, you can easily forget the car and walk, or take public transportation, which is easily accessible. Come discover a city filled with phenomenal restaurants, farmers markets, outdoor craft markets, live music, theatre, performing arts and so much more. With so much to see, you'll be planning your next trip before you leave. It happens all the time!

This modern, contemporary home was built five years ago and features an open main floor layout, conducive to entertaining, with the added benefit of a private office on the main floor, as well a half bathroom. The kitchen is well stocked with high end appliances and even things like a crock pot. We provide white on white plates and more , with 18 of each, so you don’t need to run dishes after each meal! The gas pebble fireplace makes for a cozy retreat on cold winters days, nestled between the two living couches. Alternatively, in the summer heat, we have central air conditioning throughout the house.
All of the bedrooms are located on the second floor. The master ensuite is huge and has a luxurious king sized bed and tv. The bathroom hosts a double sink and extra large tiled shower. The closet is larger than some peoples bedrooms! I wish I had one of those! The other two bedrooms have queen and full sized beds, and share a full bathroom. The fully equipped laundry room is also located on this level, which also holds additional linens and towels.
Per city code, a full time resident resides on the ground level of the property, allowing this to be legal vacation rental, and as such is permitted through the city of Portland. There is no access between the full time residents unit and the main house.
Please note that this is a no smoking and no pet property. Violation of either will result in a $500.00 fine. In addition, in order to maintain the beauty of this home, we ask that you not wear shoes in our home. We provide slippers at the front entry, but feel free to bring your own.
As a side note, we just installed a smart doorbell at the front door. We also have an ADT security system, which is active when we do not have guests.

We were a group of four and really enjoyed our stay here. The location is great, veryclose to the North Mississippi corridor with lots of restaurants, shops, and night life nearby. It was also easy to drive to parts of the city with major attractions such as the Rose Test Garden and Japanese Garden. The owner was very thorough and responsive. The house was immaculate and had everything we needed. Great experience!

We loved staying in this home for the week while we gathered as a family. Attractive decor, clean, stocked with all sorts of little extras you may need as the week went by, and a kind and gracious host. We would book this home again without hesitation - it is a gem. We particularly enjoyed that outside patio, the comfy couches, the quiet office space, the supply of puzzles and games, the open flow of the space, and the fabulous master suite. The walkability of the location was great and having roses in bloom at the rose park down the street was the best motivator for nightly walks. This is a five star!Julie

This was probably the best Vrbo experience I have ever had. The property was very clean and exactly as it was marked. It was in a great location, especially for day trips. The property had multiple games that we played as a family, including foosball as well as board games. The kitchen was very well stocked, including Ziplocs, a great toaster, baking sheets, a vase for flowers from the farmers market, etc. we moved in and it was “home” for eight days, without spending extra money to make it that way. LIl was a great communicator and quick to solve any problems (or even things we might think we a problem). Can’t say enough about this place.
