Two-bedroom condo has been newly renovated with tile flooring throughout and new stainless appliances...
Professionally decorated two-bedroom condo perfect for a family, extended family and friends. The master bedroom has a very comfortable king-size bed. The second bedroom has two queen-size beds. The living room features a brand new (as of March 2018) queen sleeper sofa with memory foam mattress. With upscale mattresses, linens, new LG washer & dryer, high-speed internet, flat-screen smart TVs and other amenities, this unit will give you that "at home" feeling. It will almost make you want to stay indoors. But its location in the heart of Baytowne Village with the shopping, restaurants, kids arcade and playground, nightly events and night life just a short walk away will beckon you outward.
Of course the pool and the workout facilities are even closer ... as a stones throw from your balcony will place you poolside for that quick dip, or that not-so-short walk on the treadmill. The white sands and the azure warm waters of the world's most beautiful beaches are just a short 5-minute drive away. You can even go salt or fresh water fishing off the nearby pier or several lakes; also within easy walking distance.
For those attending conferences in Sandestin - it is an easy 5-minute walk to the Sandestin Conference Center.
Four different 18-hole golf courses are on Sandestin property and three of them are open to the guests staying in the resort. You can even play where Gary Player or Chi Chi Rodriguez have competed in a Champion Tour event if you really want to test your skill. Maybe tennis is your game. If so, then a short 5-minute walk will put you on the court and you can choose your surface, including grass. Interested in boating? The Marina is just down the boardwalk with a casual restaurant and many other activities to engage in.
After spending the day at the beach, pool or on the links, you can return to the nighttime activity in the heart of Sandestin, and your 'home away from home' will allow you to leave the car parked, as you extend your fun well into the night. But before venturing out, you may want to stroll down to the pier and take in some of the most romantic sunsets offered on the Gulf coast. Then you can start your nighttime adventure at one of the numerous restaurants and bars and then go dancing at one or all of the nightspots catering to all age groups and musical tastes. When you feel you are ready to call it a night, you can be 'home' faster than the valet can retrieve your car at many restaurants.

We enjoyed our stay and the golf cart was great to get around the property and to the beach. It was very convenient to enjoy Baytown Wharf. The balcony view overlooking the pool was beautiful. We love to cook and the bbq grilling area was excellent by the pool and hot tub. This unit could use some bathroom updates. Overall we loved our visit and the host was quick and kind to communicate with. Matt provided a very thorough welcome letter that made check in a breeze.

Overall, we had a great stay! The location is awesome being close to the wharf. The pool is AMAZING! The golfcart is amazing as well. The golfcart could use some maintenance on the wheels as they screech everytime you turn. The toilet in the guest bathroom had a broken handle so flushing was difficult. You had to hold it done really long and then sometimes it still wouldn’t flush. The couch in the living room is not comfortable to sit on. The back is too low and just not comfy. With a toddler napping daily we utilized that couch everyday for 2 hours and it was rough unless you were literally laying on it. None of this would prevent me from staying again, but just some things to note if you stay. They also provided beach chairs, some games, and books which was a nice touch.

Overall unit is fine, though our experience with the host was less than great.
Upon our arrival the entire patio (looking out to the pool) was closed, furniture was filthy, and scaffolding outside windows. Turns out they were painting the patio the ENTIRE week we were there.
We booked this unit 6 months in advance and the host never notified us that there might be a possibility we would not be able to use the patio. He claimed he didn't know.
We had men working on our patio daily, starting at 8am, for the entire length of our stay. We could not open our windows, slider, or blinds as they were taped shut.
Halfway through our stay, people had to come and remove the furniture off the deck.
When asking for some sort of a refund for the inconvenience, the host said "if you find another unit, we will refund you", it was spring break, there were no other units, and the only ones available were 3x more than we paid.
After DAYS of going back and forth with the host, he begrudgingly offered a small refund, though at first, he told us he would not be offering us one.
This was our 5th year staying in Sandestin at the Pilot House, and our 2nd year renting this unit. I will never rent from this host again, and I would advise that you look at one of the multiple other properties available.
Other items to note:
- The master bed is extremely firm and you can feel the springs.
- The beach chairs provided were rusted and broken, bring your own.
