Welcome to Summer Wind, a stunning gulf front beach house located on the peaceful Fort Morgan Peninsula in Gulf Shores, Alabama. Managed by Harris Vacations, this pet friendly retreat offers the perfect blend of comfort, style, and coastal charm. With four bedrooms, an additional bunk room, and three full bathrooms, Summer Wind comfortably accommodates up to thirteen guests and two dogs, making it ideal for families and group beach getaways. Guests will enjoy sweeping Gulf of Mexico views, direct beach access, and a relaxed atmosphere away from the crowds while still being within easy reach of Gulf Shores attractions.

The main floor offers an open concept living area with large windows, comfortable furnishings, and a seamless flow into the kitchen and dining space. The kitchen is beautifully appointed with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, a large island with bar seating, and everything needed to prepare meals for your group. A full size washer and dryer are conveniently located on the main level. Adding to its appeal, this exceptional home was featured on HGTV’s Battle of the Beach in 2021 and remains a guest favorite.

Rental Age Policy
We love people of all ages, and we want everyone to enjoy our homes. However, we do require that an adult 25 years or older reserve the home and be present at the home during your entire stay. We do not rent to anyone under the age of 25. We have no exception to this policy.

We loved that the house was steps away from the beach and the pool was next to the house! Overall a pretty good house for family.

Harris mgrs were so helpful when the coffee pot quit. They were there with another within the hour, We had the pool and the beach pretty much to ourselves! Will def come again.

Pros:
*Location was amazing! Loved being just steps from the beach or pool and the beach really is deserted/ private. Perfect!
*Plenty of sleeping spaces! We had 12 ( mostly kids) but had more than enough room. Could have even fit 3-4 more.
*Loved the floor plan and layout of house. It really worked. Especially with 3 separate families there.
Cons:
*The flooring is coming up and was a tripping hazard. Several of us tripped over the floor boards peeling up. Got splinters, hurt toes, etc.
* the house shakes. It’s kind of alarming. When you are on the bathroom downstairs and someone is upstairs the whole bathroom shakes and the towels, bags swing on the hooks & at night you could feel it swaying when you are laying down in the beds.
* we had a mouse upstairs. Never saw it but every morning had mouse droppings in the bathroom.
* the sewer was leaking right in front of the stairs to go into the house. It was in the process of being worked on at the end of our stay, but made the parking difficult & the smell was not very pleasant.
* the beds are not comfortable. The adults really struggled to get a good nights rest. All are full/ queen or bunks
Overall it was a good stay. But you can definitely tell the house was not built by HGTV professionals. It was definitely amateurs building it. The one next door was torn down, I’m sure it was maybe a little worse than this one.
If the floor is replaced and the beds more comfy and they fix the swaying it would be perfect.
